Effectiveness and Safety of Treatment of Insulin Glargine in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Following...
Type 2 Diabetes MellitusPrimary Objective: To assess the efficacy of insulin glargine as measured by changes of HbA1c levels from baseline in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients following GLP-1 failure. Secondary Objective: To determine the change in glycemic control, safety, and treatment satisfaction in insulin glargine use in patients following GLP-1 failure.

GastroparesisDiabetes Mellitus3 moreThe purpose of this study is to test the safety and effectiveness of two dosage levels (10mg and 20mg) of TZP-102 compared to placebo (capsule that looks like the study drug but contains no active drug), administered once-daily for 12 weeks, in diabetic subjects with symptoms associated with gastroparesis.

Type 2 Diabetes MellitusThe study design of this trial is open-label, randomized, multi-center, parallel-group study.

Trial Investigating the Safety of NNC 0113-0987 in Healthy Male Subjects
DiabetesDiabetes Mellitus2 moreThis trial is conducted in Europe. The aim of this trial is to investigate safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics (the exposure of the trial drug in the body) of single doses of NNC 0113-0987 in healthy male subjects.

A Study of the Effect of Dulaglutide on How Body Handles Digoxin in Healthy Participants
Diabetes MellitusType 2The purpose of this study is to study how the body processes digoxin and the effect of dulaglutide on how digoxin is processed by the body. Information about any side effects that may occur will also be collected. This study is for research purposes only and is not intended to treat any medical condition. This research study requires that a blood sample be obtained and stored for future research involving genetic analysis.

Dextromethorphan, Amantadine and Glucose Homeostasis in Diabetes Subjects
Type 2 Diabetes MellitusThe purpose of this trial is to demonstrate that dextromethorphan (DXM) and amantadine compared to placebo exert blood glucose (BG) lowering effects following an oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) in male subjects with T2DM.

Silastic Ring Gastric Bypass Versus Sleeve Gastrectomy for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in Obese Patients...
Type 2 Diabetes MellitusObesityType 2 diabetes (T2DM) and obesity are becoming increasingly common in New Zealand (NZ) and worldwide. Both are associated with a risk of early mortality (death). Whilst weight loss surgery is known to be effective for weight loss, current research suggests that it may also be effective in resolving T2DM in around 60-80% of patients, with some no longer requiring their medication. The mechanism for this remains unclear. Two main types of weight loss surgery are performed in NZ public hospitals, which include gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy. The gastric bypass is a more complex procedure compared to the sleeve gastrectomy. Whilst both appear to be effective for weight loss (with most patients losing more than 60% of their excess weight), it is still not known which one is better for treating T2DM. This study will therefore compare which of these two surgical procedures is most effective at treating T2DM in obese patients, as well as comparing whether there are any differences in the amount of weight lost, side effects and quality of life.

Early Diabetes Intervention Program
Type 2 Diabetes MellitusThis is an evaluation of the effect of acarbose to delay worsening of fasting glucose control in early Type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Insulin Action in Individuals With Type 2 Diabetes by Natural Fatty Acids or the Medication Pioglitazone...
Type 2 Diabetes MellitusThe purpose of this study is to investigate the changes in insulin (a hormone produced in the body by the pancreas that regulates the amount of sugar in the blood) action and adiponectin (a protein hormone which regulates sugar levels and fatty acid breakdown) levels after giving individuals with type 2 diabetes a medication, pioglitazone, for three weeks.

Comparison of Biphasic Insulin Aspart 70/30, 50/50, and 30/70 in Subjects With Type 2 Diabetes
DiabetesDiabetes Mellitus1 moreThis trial is conducted in Europe. This trial aims for a comparison of the effect on glycemic control in subjects with type 2 diabetes of three different premixed insulin analogues given in combination with an oral anti-diabetic drug.
