Cardiometabolic risk in patients with abdominal obesity and type 1 diabetes can be moderated by life style modifications. There is an intimate link between gene regulation and circadian rhythm in mediating response to exercise in a variety of insulin sensitive organs. The aim of this project is to evaluate, by intervention, the interplay of circadian rhythm and high intensity interval training (HIIT) on glucose control and skeletal muscle metabolism in patients with overweight with or without type 1 diabetes (T1D).

Smoking is the main cause of preventable disease and death in the US and impacts respiratory illnesses including COPD and asthma. However, little is known about the effects on smoking and lung health of substituting cigarettes with ENDS in adults with asthma. This project aims to test whether providing ENDS to adults with asthma will lead to substitution of smoking for ENDS, reduced dependence, and improved lung function so such knowledge can inform interventions to reduce the public health burden of tobacco.

This is a phase I-II clinical trial. Adult subjects with hematological malignancies undergoing allogeneic HSCT from an HLA matched sibling or ≥7 out of 8 allele level HLA matched unrelated donor are eligible for the study if they meet the criteria defined in our standard operation procedures (SOPs), meet all inclusion criteria, and do not satisfy any exclusion criteria. Subjects will receive a standard of care conditioning regimen. Subjects will receive investigational PTCy, investigational bortezomib and investigational abatacept as GvHD prophylaxis.

This is an open-label, non-randomized, interventional, single group assignment study of GDA-201, an allogeneic cryopreserved NK cell therapy derived from donor peripheral blood, in combination with rituximab, monoclonal anti-CD20 antibody, for patients with relapsed or refractory B Cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL).

A Phase 2a clinical trial on up to n=200 male and female subjects 18 years and over who were diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) or acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Subjects are randomised in approximately a 1:1 ratio to receive standard of care treatment plus either pyronaridine (PND) or placebo. Quality of life parameters are measured. Visits include physical examinations, and blood draws for complete blood count with differential (CBC) and complete metabolic panel (CMP). Survival of subjects is tracked in Year 2.
