Study on the Correlation Between TCM Syndrome, Inflammatory Phenotype and Biomarker of Bronchial...

Bronchial Asthma

This study aims to determine the TCM syndrome pattern and the distribution of inflammation phenotype in different stages of bronchial asthma; to explore the correlation between TCM syndrome and inflammation phenotype. Secondly screening biomarkers that can be recognized by TCM syndromes and inflammatory phenotypes of bronchial asthma, and provide a basis for individualized diagnosis and treatment of diseases.

Early Origins of Allergy and Asthma

AllergyAsthma3 more

Birth cohort study with recruitment during pregnancy to determine prenatal and perinatal conditions, as well as genetic and epigenetic factors, that participate in the early setting of immune responses, and the role of these in the later determination of the risk of allergic diseases, asthma, and metabolic conditions in the offspring.

NAFLD in HIV-infected Patients

HIV-infection/AidsNAFLD

The prevalence of NAFLD (nonalcoholic fatty liver disease) in HIV-infected patients is higher than that in general population, but the causes of morbidity and pathogenesis have not been fully explored. The investigators are planning to consecutively enroll 400 cases HIV-positive outpatients, and to detect NAFLD by ultrasound. The fecal and blood samples were also collected to explore the mechanism of NAFLD. The investigators aimed to determine the prevalence and risk factors of NAFLD in HIV infected patients.

Ultrasound Abnormalities of the Salivary Glands in Primary Sjögren's Syndrome According to the Duration...

Primary sjögren's Syndrome

Salivary gland ultrasonography is identified as a valuable diagnostic tool and potential criteria item for disease classification of sjögren's syndrome and evaluate evolution of parenchyma. The investigators have to include 242 patients. The objective is to evaluate the modification of ultrasonographic abnormalities according to disease in primary Sjögren syndrome.

HLA Analysis in Autoimmune Encephalitis and Related Disorders

Autoimmune EncephalitisImbic Encephalitis2 more

Autoimmune encephalitis (AE) are characterized by subacute onset of memory deficits, altered mental status or psychiatric symptoms, frequently associated with seizures, inflammatory cerebrospinal fluid and in cases with prominent limbic involvement, typical magnetic resonance imaging. Several autoantibodies (Ab) may be detected in AE, although its detection is not mandatory to establish a diagnosis. These Ab mainly recognize different synaptic and cell-surface proteins in the central nervous system, and are thought to be pathogenic as they alter the normal location or function of its antigens. The primary trigger of the immune response is unknown for most of AE. In addition to acquired susceptibility, genetic predisposition may also be important in the pathogenesis of AE. Human leukocyte antigen (HLA) is the genetic factor most frequently associated with autoimmune diseases, due to its genetic complexity and key role in the adaptive immune response. The aim of the study is to describe HLA profile in three groups of autoimmune encephalitis and related disorders: anti-LGI1, anti-CASPR2 and anti-GAD neurological diseases.

Study of the IgA Repertoire During IgA Deposition Nephropathy.

GlomerulonephritisIGA

IgA plays a major role in mucosal and systemic immunity but retains mysterious and ambivalent aspects. They can thus, depending on the situation, prove to be capable of triggering either a protective inflammatory response or, on the contrary, anti-inflammatory and inducing tolerance. Similarly, and for reasons that remain very poorly understood, they can be involved in pathologies where the immune system is itself an aggressor of the body and responsible for immunopathological lesions. The investigator formulates the hypothesis that an inappropriate response of the mucosal immune system to one or more antigens leads to a synthesis of IgA of bad affinity favoring a deposit at the level of the mesangium. It seems important to verify this point by analyzing the IgA repertory of patients with N-IgA and comparing it to that of a control population.
