CVM-1118 in Combination With Nivolumab for Unresectable Advanced Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Hepatocellular CarcinomaAdvanced Cancer

CVM-1118 is a new small molecule chemical entity being developed as a potential anti-cancer therapeutic by TaiRx, Inc. CVM-1118 is a potent anti-cancer agent in numerous human cancer cell lines. The safety of administrating CVM-1118 on human has been evaluated from the phase 1 study. The objective of the phase 2 study is to further investigate the efficacy of CVM-1118 with nivolumab for subjects with unresectable advanced hepatoma.

MITO 35B: Olaparib Beyond Progression Compared to Platinum Chemotherapy After Secondary Cytoreductive...

Ovarian Cancer

MITO 35b is designed as randomized, open label, phase III trial that aims to assess the efficacy of olaparib maintenance beyond progression compered to standard platinum-based chemotherapy after secondary cytoreductive surgery. The target population of this study are ovarian cancer patients who experience a disease recurrence or progression to a first line maintenance therapy with PARPi; at progression patients must have received a secondary cytoreduction according to clinical practice.

A Study of AK104 Monotherapy or AK104 Plus Axitinib in Advanced/Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma...

Renal Cell CarcinomaFirst-line Treatment

This is a Phase II, open-label trial to evaluate the efficacy and safety of AK104 monotherapy or AK104 in combination with axitinib as a first-line treatment for advanced/metastatic renal cell carcinoma (RCC). There are two parts in this trial. In part 1 of this study, subjects with unresectable advanced clear cell or non-clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC or nccRCC) who had not received systemic therapy for advanced disease will be enrolled to randomly received three different dosage of AK104 monotherapy. In part 2 of this study, subjects with unresectable advanced clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) who had not received systemic therapy for advanced disease will be enrolled to receive AK104 plus Axitinib. All subjects will receive treatment until disease progression, development of unacceptable toxicity, death, a decision by the physician or patient to withdraw from the trial. The primary endpoint is ORR per RECIST v1.1 as assessed by investigators.

Docetaxel/Pembrolizumab in Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Effect of Drug

Pembrolizumab monotherapy and platinum-based chemotherapy in the combination with pembrolizumab for recurrent or metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (R/M HNSCC) have been widely used in daily clinical practice based on the KEYNOTE-048 study. On the other hand, docetaxel is a commonly used antimitotic agent in cancer therapy and might have potent antitumor effect by the immune response. A combination therapy of docetaxel and pembrolizumab might be a promising treatment for R/M HNSCC. The KEYNOTE-048 study showed that pembrolizumab plus platinum and 5-fluorouracil is a tolerable treatment for R/M HNSCC. The main grade 3/4 adverse event of platinum and 5-fluorouracil was myelosuppression such as neutropenia similar to docetaxel in some studies for R/M HNSCC. The safety profile of platinum and 5-fluorouracil is not much different from docetaxel. Therefore, docetaxel/pembrolizumab combination treatment might also be tolerable. The hypothesis of this study is that a combination therapy of docetaxel and pembrolizumab will provide benefit for patients with R/M HNSCC.

Enfortumab Vedotin and Pembrolizumab in People With Bladder Cancer

Urothelial Carcinoma

This study will test whether enfortumab vedotin combined with pembrolizumab is an effective treatment for people with bladder cancer (urothelial carcinoma) involving the lymph nodes who are going to have surgery to remove their cancer (cystectomy). The researchers will look at whether treatment with enfortumab vedotin and pembrolizumab before surgery can get rid of cancer within the lymph nodes. They will also try to find out if this combination of drugs is effective at shrinking participants' cancer before their surgery. The researchers think that a combination of enfortumab vedotin and pembrolizumab may help people with this disease because both drugs are designed to help the immune system attack and kill cancer cells. The researchers think the drugs may be more effective if given in combination rather than on their own.
