The Life and Care of Colorectal Cancer Patients After 65 Years and Their Family

Colorectal Cancer

Given a context where patients autonomy respect is important, it is necessary to pay a sustained attention to the patients care and life experiences, as well as the families and relatives of patients with colorectal cancer or patients in remission of colorectal cancer. Thanks to families and relatives data, it will allow to improve the analyses carried out by the "Societal Cancer Observatory" in 2016.

Long-term Follow up for Retinal Vascular Changes After Endoscopic Endonasal Pituitary Surgery.

Pituitary Adenoma

This study investigates the retinal vascular features, using optical coherence tomography angiography, in patients during one year's follow up after the endoscopic endonasal surgery to remove an intra-suprasellar pituitary adenoma compressing the optic nerve.

Feasibility of ERAS Protocol in T4 Colorectal Cancer Patients

T4 Colorectal CancerERAS2 more

Patients diagnosed with T4 colorectal cancer represent a specific subgroup of colorectal patients, frequently composed of fragile patients whose advanced nature of the disease often requires a multi organ resection by an open surgery approach and frequently leads to higher intra/postoperative complication. Those characteristics makes them to be considered less suitable for ERAS protocol, especially regarding an expected difficult compliance to postoperative items. The impact of enhanced recovery program on postoperative outcomes in this subset of patients has never been addressed in literature, in fact most of studies either excluded T4 patients due to higher rates of complication or adopted an homogeneous patient sampling analizing all stage colorectal cancer together. Our aim is to investigate the feasibility of ERAS protocol in T4 colorectal patient, primary outcome was to compare postoperative lenght of stay between T4 colorectal patients treated with ERAS protcol and those treated with standard of care.

Prediction of Esophageal and Lung Toxicities After Radiation (Chemo) Therapy

Lung Cancer

(Chemo)-radiotherapy is the gold standard therapeutic treatment for patients with locally advanced lung cancer non accessible or ineligible for surgery. While some progress occurred regarding progression free survival and overall survival thanks to recent advances (i.e., durvalumab), prediction of pulmonary and esophageal toxicity, remains insufficiently accurate. Current dose-volume histograms (DVH) do not account for spatial dose distribution and strict application of current dose constraints does not prevent toxicity events in some of the treated patients. The goal of this work was to investigate the added predictive value of the radiomics approach applied to dose maps regarding acute and late toxicity in both lungs and the esophagus.

68Ga-FAPI-04 and 18F-FDG PET/CT in Patients With Epithelial Ovarian Cancer: Compared With Histological...

Epithelial Ovarian Cancer

Epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) is a tumor entity featured by frequent involvement of peritoneum, also called peritoneal carcinomatosis. It is a type of metastasis accompanied by significant cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) accumulation. Fibroblast activation protein (FAP) is a protein that is overexpressed on CAFs and can be non-invasively monitored by a novel radiotracer called 68Ga-FAPI-04 positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT). In this study, we will explore the value of 68Ga-FAPI-04 PET/CT in patients with epithelial ovarian cancer who are scheduled for surgical intervention. The findings of 68Ga-FAPI-04 PET/CT will also be compared with that of 18F-2-fluoro-2-deoxy-D-glucose fluorodeoxyglucose (18F-FDG) PET/CT, which is one of the most commonly used modalities in evaluating EOC, and histological findings.

Distribution and Prognostic Impact of Oncogenic Drivers in Metastatic Lung Adenocarcinoma : a Retrospective...

Adenocarcinoma of Lung Stage IVAdenocarcinoma of Lung2 more

The recent discovery of oncogenic drivers has revolutionized the management of advanced lung cancer by development of tyrosine kinase inhibitors targeted therapies. Prevalence of daily tobacco use is evaluated at 31,3 % in Grand-Est region, the only French region with a statistically significative difference for smoking habits. This region shows a higher incidence (+ 13 %) and mortality for lung cancer in comparison to the average for other French regions. The objectives of our studie were to estimate the distribution of oncogenic drivers and analyse their prognostic impacts in the Nancy University Hospital Center metastatic lung adenocarcinoma's population.

Effect of Transversus Abdominis Plane Block Combined With Dexmedetomidine Infusion on the Prognosis...

Colorectal NeoplasmsAged

To compare the prognosis of elderly patients undergoing radical resection of colorectal cancer treated with general anesthesia and general anesthesia combined with transversus abdominis plane block and continuous infusion of dexmedetomidine. The incidence of postoperative delirium, postoperative acute pain moderately to severely and poor postoperative recovery were composite endpoints to determine the prognosis of patients.

Evaluation of Cavernous Sinus Invasion by Pituitary Adenoma Using Deep Learning Based Denoising...

Cavernous Sinus Invasion by Pituitary Adenoma

Preoperative evaluation of cavernous sinus invasion by pituitary adenoma is critical for performing safe operation and deciding on surgical extent as well as for treatment success. Because of the small size of the pituitary gland and sellar fossa, determining the exact relationship between the pituitary adenoma and cavernous sinus can be challenging. Performing thin slice thickness MRI may be beneficial but is inevitably associated with increased noise level. By applying deep learning based denoising algorithm, diagnosis of cavernous sinus invasion by pituitary adenoma may be improved.
