Study on Predictive Biomarkers of Neoadjuvant Chemoradiotherapy for Rectal Cancer
Rectal Neoplasm Malignant CarcinomaChemoradiotherapy3 moreBackgrounds: A multicenter randomized phase III trial (NCT02605265) proved that adding irinotecan guided by UGT1A1 to capecitabine-based neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy significantly increases complete tumor response. The treatment toxicities were increased but tolerable. Purposes: This study aims to identify the predictive biomarkers (from patients' tumor biopsy samples and peripheral blood samples before neoadjuvant therapy) for predicting the response and toxicities to neoadjuvant therapy to stratify patients and optimize treatment strategy.

Change in Body Weight During Treatment of Advanced Colorectal Cancer
CancerColorectal3 moreColorectal cancer (CRC) is a significant and growing health burden in Hong Kong. According to data from Hong Kong Cancer Registry, CRC ranked the first in incidence and the second in mortality, with around 5,000 new cases diagnosed and more than 2,000 cancer-related mortality in 2014. The investigators aim to evaluate the association between serial weight change during first line treatment and outcomes in patients with metastatic CRC.

Immunohistochemical Assessment of Programmed Death ligand1 and LC3B in GBM
Glioblastoma MultiformeGlioblastoma(GBM) is the most common malignant primary brain tumor and has unfortunately bad prognosis .PDL(Programmed death lignad 1)1 is alignad for a protein receptor PD1(Programmed death 1) that upon their engagement, an immunoinhibitory signal is generated thus allowing the tumor cells to evade the immune regulation and cytotoxic T lymphocytes(CTL). Also there have been many actions generated upon PDL1 binding with its receptor, among them is activation of autophagy that also serves for promoting tumor development and progression. Our study aims to detect PDL1 and LC3B levels in GBM , their relation with each other and the relation between their levels and overall survival of GBM cases.

Clinical Study of ctDNA and Exosome Combined Detection to Identify Benign and Malignant Pulmonary...
Pulmonary NodulesThis study through the detection of EGFR、ALK、ROS1、KRAS、HER2、BARF、NTRG1 seven ctDNA and exosome RNA in the blood and alveolar lavage of lung nodules patients and heavy smoking healthy population. If the results of ctDNA test is positive, the target nodule is malignant; if the reaults of ctDNA teste is negatie but exocome RNA is positive, the target nodule is also malignant. If the results of both tests are negtive, the target nodule is recognized as benign. The purpose is study the sensitivity, specificity and diagnostic accuracy of ctDNA and exosome combined detection in the identification of benign and malignant pulmonary nodules. Besides, the diagnostic efficacy of different specimens including blood and alveolar lavage in the identification of benign and malignant pulmonary nodules is also studied.

Identification of Molecular Biomarkers for Thyroid Cancer
Thyroid CancerThis is a two part study; part A proposes to collect plasma samples to examine how ctDNA (circulating thyroid DNA) markers correlate with detection of recurrent disease, response to therapy, clinical outcome and pathological data. Part B aims to use tissue obtained from biopsies of primary or recurrent disease to establish cell lines and tumour explants to further investigate the biology of thyroid cancer in the preclinical setting

Investigate eNAMPT in Multiple Myeloma Biology and Establish Its Role in Disease Progression
Multiple MyelomaBased on our previous observations, here the investigator plans to further investigate eNAMPT in MM biology and to establish its role in disease progression where EMT acquisition represents an hallmark of cancers. Results deriving from proposal would hopefully identify novel biological vulnerabilities of such malignancy and an innovative biomarker for disease progression monitoring as well.

Lenalidomide Observational Study in Patients With Mantle Lymphoma in Relapse/Refraction. Spanish...
Mantle Cell LymphomaThis is a multicentric, observational and retrospective study of the use of lenalidomide in patients with relapsed or refractory mantle cell lymphoma that are included in the RRMCL spanish program. The lenalidomide effectiveness and tolerability data will be retrospectely collected until the 30 of April 2018.

Study for the Efficacy and Security Analysis in the Protection of Ileocolic Anastomosis Conducted...
Adenocarcinoma ColonThe aim of this study is to analyse the effectiveness and security in the prevention of anastomotic leakage by protecting the ileocolic anastomosis with a reabsorbable NHS-PEG collagen patch.

Pancreatic Cancer Malnutrition and Pancreatic Exocrine Insufficiency in the Course of Chemotherapy...
Pancreatic CancerExocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency4 moreMalnutrition and cachexia are common in patients with advanced pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) and have a significant influence on the tolerance and response to treatments. If timely identified, malnourished PDAC patients could be treated to increase their capacity to complete the planned treatments and therefore, possibly, improve their efficacy. The aim of the study is to assess the impact of nutritional status, pancreatic exocrine insufficiency (PEI), and other clinical factors on patient outcomes in patients with advanced PDAC. The nutritional status will be determined by means of Mini-Nutritional Assessment score and laboratory blood tests. PEI will be defined as the presence of typical symptoms and/or reduced fecal elastase. Analysis: chemotherapy dosing over the first 12 weeks of therapy (i.e. percent of chemotherapy received in the first 12 weeks, as defined above) PAC-MAIN will provide insights on the role of malnutrition and PEI in outcomes of PDAC.

Evaluation of Prime-boost Anti-pneumococcal Vaccination in Patients With Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma...
Pneumococcal InfectionsLymphoma2 morePneumococcal infections remain frequent and potentially fatal. To prevent them, two anti-pneumococcal vaccines exist: a 13-valent conjugate vaccine (Prevenar®) and a 23-valent polysaccharide vaccine (Pneumovax®). For their utilization, several studies approved a prime-boost strategy. It consist two administer Pneumovax® at least two months later than Prevenar®. Patients with diffuse large B-cell Lymphoma (DLBCL) have a higher-risk to develop a pneumococcal infection. The main reason is immunosuppression, induced by rituximab (B cell depletion), chemotherapy and lymphoma. Patients are treated by immunochemotherapy, combining rituximab (anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody) and conventional chemotherapy (CHOP). However, those patients have a low rate of vaccination (about 15%).
