Health and Employment After Gastro Intestinal Surgery - HEAGIS2

Esophageal NeoplasmsGastric Neoplasm1 more

By using the M.A.D.I.T. methodology and the Dialogics science, SALVO Project aims to develop operational guidelines to support oncological target patients in the resumption of their daily post-operative activities. The research will implement an instrument for the purpose of measuring the health need of participants who are admitted to the surgical ward. Therefore, targeted interventions will be implemented with participants, and efficacy will be evaluated in order to define treatment guidelines. The principal aim of this study is to create a validated and replicable intervention model for supporting patients who undergone surgery for esophageal and gastro intestinal cancer.

Pancreas Adenocarcinoma

The aim of this study is the characterization from epidemiological, radiomics and molecular point of view of lung metastasis of patients at beginning affected by pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PDAC), which after the resection of primitive tumor have met with initial recurrence of the disease exclusively at the lung level.

Exploration of Arrhythmia Burden in Cardiac Amyloidosis Using Implantable Loop Recorders

ArrythmiaCardiac Amyloidosis2 more

The overall aim of this study is to improve our understanding of the effects of the build-up of amyloid deposits in the heart, in particular, our understanding of the risk of abnormal heart beats, or rhythms, associated with people with cardiac (heart) amyloidosis. Symptoms such as palpitations (fast, strong or irregular heart beat) and blackouts are common in people with cardiac amyloidosis, but there is not enough information on what causes this. At present, there is also not enough information on when they occur, how often they happen, and which patients are at risk of having serious, life-threatening types of abnormal heart rhythms. Some of these abnormal heart rhythms can be treated with medicine; others need electronic devices (e.g. pacemakers) implanted or inserted in the heart to prevent serious harm. The information on when is the best time to implant these life-saving devices remains limited. In this study, a small device known as an implantable loop recorder (ILR) will be implanted under the skin on the chest wall to continuously monitor participants' heart rhythm. This will help us answer some of the questions about what causes the abnormal heart rhythms, when they happen, and which patients are particularly likely to have them. Furthermore, it may help us to identify earlier, rather than later, those who are at risk of developing abnormal heart rhythms. This may lead to improvements in the care of people with cardiac amyloidosis in the future. Participants may not directly benefit from taking part in this study; however, there is a chance that the ILR may reveal heart rhythm abnormalities in some participants which might not be picked up otherwise, and so may lead to a change in their treatment.

MGUS, SMM, and MM Patient Experience With Coronavirus 19 (COVID-19) Survey

Multiple MyelomaSmoldering Multiple Myeloma2 more

The purpose of this study is to examine how patients with multiple myeloma (MM) have been impacted by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) pandemic. The study will use a questionnaire to further understand how patients are being affected and gather information in order to track the long-term effects of the coronavirus. The scope of the questionnaire will include, COVID-19 diagnosis and treatment, changes in myeloma treatment and care, clinical trial familiarity, health and fitness, and quality of life. This questionnaire is a follow-on to the "MM and COVID-19" questionnaire.

Optimal Dosing of Vancomycin in an Adult Population of Hemato-oncology

VancomycinHematologic Malignancies1 more

This is a single-center prospective pharmacokinetic study. The principal objective is to collect new data among patients with hematologic cancer to develop a Bayesian population pharmacokinetic model and to improve dose adjustment of intravenous vancomycin. Approximately 40 subjects meeting the inclusion and no exclusion criteria will be enrolled in the study. Vancomycin blood concentration will be measured at steady-state at three different moment for each participant : immediately before the infusion, 1 hour after the infusion and during the elimination phase (at 3, 4 or 5 hours after the infusion). This additional vancomycin serum concentration in the elimination phase will be used to estimate more precisely the vancomycin pharmacokinetic parameters in this specific population including the distribution volume and the elimination of the molecule. Ultimately, the purpose of this study is to create a nomogram to predict the optimal initial vancomycin dosing in adult patients with a hematologic cancer.

Regorafenib Plus Programmed Cell Death-1 (PD-1) Inhibitors in Patients With Advanced Colorectal...

Advanced Colorectal Carcinoma

This is a multicenter observational study aimed to describe the efficacy and safety of regorafenib plus programmed cell death-1 (PD-1) inhibitors in Chinese patients with advanced colorectal cancer in routine clinical practice. The primary end point is overall survival. The secondary endpoints include progression-free survival, objective response rate, disease control rate and the incidence of treatment-related adverse events.

COVID-19 Vaccine Efficacy in Patients With Malignant Pathologies

Solid TumorHematologic Malignancy4 more

In the context of malignant disease, it is likely that vaccine efficacy and immunogenicity depends on the type of pathology, stage of the disease, immunosuppression induced by the treatments, in addition to more classic factors such as age, general condition and possibly the type of vaccine used. There are very little data on the efficacy and immunogenicity of anti-severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) vaccines in patients with malignant disease in the active phase of treatment. This multicenter observational study aims to assess the efficacy and the immunogenicity of anti-Sars-CoV-2 vaccines in the cohort of patients treated for malignant pathology (solid or hematological tumors) at Saint Louis Hospital and in thoracic oncology patients at Bichat Hospital.
