In-Vitro Studies in Depletion of Haplotype Mismatched Alloreactive T Cells
Hematologic MalignanciesHematopoietic Stem Cell TransplantationThe doctors in the Bone Marrow Transplant Service at the Indiana University Cancer Center are working to better understand how the immune cells that cause graft-versus-host disease (a major complication of stem cell transplantation in which the donor immune cells attack the patient's organs) can be selectively removed from the graft, leaving other immune cells that fight infections.

Assessment of Current Biomarker Testing Practices for Common Solid Cancers in Precision Oncology...
Breast CarcinomaColorectal Carcinoma4 moreThis trial assesses current biomarker testing practices for common solid cancers in precision oncology in the community setting. Cancer biomarkers are used for diagnosing the disease, determining prognosis, predicting response to a targeted therapy, or monitoring response to therapy. Testing quality, including accuracy and timeliness, is imperative for correct disease prognosis and identification of patients who may or may not benefit from a targeted therapy. Assessing current biomarker testing practices may help doctors identify gaps and variations in testing as well as on potential ?best practices? that may be informative and generalizable to community oncology programs.

Oral Stent Device for Radiation Treatments of Oral Cancers
Tongue TumorTongue CancerThe purpose of this study is to examine that ability of the experimental oral stent device to reduce the volume of mandible receiving >55 Gy by 50%during radiation treatment as assessed duri radiation treatment planning. Patients will have CT scans at three time-points during their standard of care radiation treatment. During these visits patients will receive scans via CT or cone beam CT scan, with both the standard and experimental oral stent devices. During radiation treatment patients will receive the standard oral stent device.

Physical Activity in Transfusion Dependent Patients With Myelodysplastic Syndrome
Myelodysplastic SyndromesThis study assesses feasibility and patient acceptability of using a Fitbit to monitor step count and heart rate in transfusion dependent patients with myelodysplastic syndrome. Information from this study may help researchers understand if there is any correlation between activity level and anemia.
