Predictive Score of PneumOThorax Secondary to CT-guided Transthoracic Lung Biopsy Made From a Large...
PneumothoraxTransthoracic lung biopsy (TLB) provides a histological diagnosis of nodule or lung mass. Pneumothorax is the main complication of TLB with an average of 20%. Many risk factors, whether clinical, computed tomography or related to TLB, are described in the literature. The British Thoracic Society recommends monitoring for 2 hours after the procedure with a possible discharge if the chest X-ray is normal. There is no French or European recommendation for monitoring the occurrence of pneumothorax after TLB. In the university center of Besançon, France, a minimum supervision of 4 hours is recommended and approximately one in two patients is hospitalized until the following day to reach this minimum time of 4 hours. The objective of the SPOT study is to perform a predictive score of pneumothorax from a retrospective cohort of patients for whom a transthoracic lung biopsy was performed and to validate this score on a prospective cohort. The expected goal is to select patients who can benefit from outpatient care by shortening the post-procedure surveillance period and to monitor more long-term only high-risk patients.

Non-interventional Study Describing Epidemiology, Prognosis and Patient Healthcare Costs in France,...
Lung DiseasesInterstitial1 moreInterstitial lung diseases (ILDs) are a heterogeneous group of disorders, which encompass a wide range of conditions. In some patients with fibrosing ILDs, a progressive phenotype similar to that observed in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) may develop during the course of the disease (PF-ILD), including patients with systemic sclerosis (SSc)-related ILD. The aim of the study is to estimate the incidence and prevalence and to describe the characteristics of patients diagnosed with non-IPF PF-ILD and SSc-ILD, to describe the natural course of disease, and to explore the correlation between mortality and Forced Vital Capacity (FVC) of the patients with non-IPF PF-ILD. This study will be based on two data sources: the French national medico administrative database (SNDS) and the ILD cohort from the National French center for rare pulmonary diseases in Lyon, France.

The Effect of Leukocyte Dna mEthylation and micRoBIOME Diversity on Host Defense Mechanisms During...
PneumoniaCommunity-acquired pneumonia (CAP) represents a major health care problem and mortality and morbidity associated with severe pneumonia remain considerable, despite state of the art care. While the role of altered DNA methylation in cancer has been widely studied, knowledge of its impact on antibacterial defense is highly limited. In addition, recent preclinical studies showed that the gut and respiratory microbiota contributes to host defense against bacterial pneumonia. This study aims to explore a completely novel research area linking the extent of DNA methylation in blood leukocyte (monocytes and neutrophils) and function of gut and respiratory microbiota on the influence of innate immune responses to and host defense against CAP

Sleep QualityHypoxemic Acute Respiratory Failure1 moreThe aim of the study is to evaluate the impact of sleep quality on intubation rate in intensive care units patients with acute respiratory failure

Evaluation of COPD Co-Pilot
Pulmonary DiseaseChronic ObstructiveThe purpose of this research study is to investigate the potential benefits of participant use of a smartphone application ("App") called COPD Co-Pilot™. When used by the participant, COPD Co-Pilot™ may provide early detection of worsening COPD symptoms. Early symptom detection may allow the pulmonary providers and nurses to respond with timely medical advice and treatment. The goal for use of COPD Co-Pilot™ is to reduce the frequency and duration of hospitalizations, emergency department visits, and hospital readmissions. The study will also examine the financial impact of the COPD Co-Pilot™ program to determine whether costs of hospital stays, emergency department visits, and hospital readmissions differ when patients are enrolled in COPD Co-Pilot™ than when they are not enrolled. Another purpose of this study is to measure patient satisfaction with use of COPD Co-Pilot™.

Association Between Testosterone Levels and COPD Severity
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary DiseaseHypogonadismThe Aims of the study are estimate the association between the severity of COPD and free testosterone level and the prevalence of hypogonadism in adult men with stable COPD

Predictors of Pulmonary Hypertension in Patients With Advanced Lung Diseases
Pulmonary HypertensionFirst, the aim of the study was to evaluate the usefulness of echocardiographic parameters for detecting pulmonary hypertension (PH) in patients with advanced lung disease referred for lung transplantation. Second, to assess the prevalence of PH and to identify which hemodynamic, echocardiographic, pulmonary functional test, exercise capacity and biochemical parameters (especially NT-proBNP) have an impact on survival in a cohort of patients with severe lung diseases referred for lung transplantation.

Effect of Tele-consultation in Addition With Psychiatric Follow-up During COVID-19 in Women Who...
Post Partum DepressionWomen who were able to benefit from psychiatric follow-up during the quarantine by tele-consultation have a lower risk of anxious and depressive symptoms than those who did not receive follow-up.

Clinical and Immunological Characterisation of COVID-19 in Children, Adolescents and Adults
COVID-19SARS-CoV-2The investigators aim to characterise Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in every age group. On the one hand, emphasis is put on the initial presentation, clinical course, outcome and the therapy used. On the other hand further investigations regarding viral and bacterial coinfections, and response of the immune system will be conducted. This study should serve to improve the understanding of COVID-19, to identify risk factors for a severe clinical course and to obtain further insights into pathophysiology of this new infectious disease.

Mechanisms for Covid-19 Disease Complications
COVIDCoronavirus InfectionCovid-19 is associated with a wide range of symptoms and clinical trajectories, and early identification of patients at risk for developing severe disease is desirable. Several risk markers and comorbidity profiles have been proposed but their relative importance in unselected patients admitted to hospital with Covid-19 remains unclear. This study aims to assess the prognostic value organ specific biomarkers, viral dynamics and immune response markers in patients infected with SARS-CoV2.
