COVID-19

The aims of this study is to define the genetic bases of COVID-19 related disease heterogeneity in frail population, to carry out a retrospective study on individuals w/wo symptoms to verify the reliability of a prognostic/diagnostic test based on IgM/IgG analysis and on the presence of genetic profiling and to explore the therapeutic potential of the modulation of ACE2 expression.

COVID-19 Critically Ill Patients' Evolution After Medical Transport by Train From Paris Intensive...

COVID-19Intensive Care Unit Syndrome

Since early 2020, France knows a sanitary crisis with a massive influx of COVID-19 patients admitted in Intensive Care Units (ICU). It led to a saturation of the French health system, especially in some geographic areas such as East of France or Paris region. Therefore, authorities decided to transfer some critically ill patients from these crowded ICUs to less busy regional ICUs. it was done for the first time by medical train transportation. Knowing that the investigators lack experience regarding this type of medical evacuation, regarding the high number of transferred patients, with such a logistic effort, the investigators decided to study this phase of the COVID-19 sanitary crisis in order to draw a feedback. So far, there are no data in the literature regarding this topic.

COVID-19 in Pediatric Oncology and Hematology Centers in France

Covid-19Cancer

Since the description of the first cases of infection in December 2019 in the Hubei province in China, a new coronavirus, called SARS-CoV-2 (severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2), emerged and caused a pandemic. This new virus is responsible for an infectious disease with respiratory and potent severe symptoms, called COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019). The first data concerned essentially the adult population and gave a clinical description of the disease. However, data is missing in the pediatric population. The first published studies indicate that children seem to have a lower risk to get a severe form of COVID-19. Except the case of a child with leukemia recently described with the diagnosis of COVID-19, there is currently no data about pediatric patients with an oncology history or under chemotherapeutic drugs. Cancers are rare among children and is estimated to concern about 1700 new cases in a year in France. Malignant tumor or its treatment can affect self-immunity, which could favor SARS-CoV-2 infection or its aggravation. Thus, the investigators propose in this study to collect data about French children with a cancer and diagnosed with COVID-19.The analysis of the collected data will refine clinical characteristics of SARS-CoV-2 infection in this population. It will be critical for elaborating recommendations for the management of COVID-19 in children with cancer.

Predictability of Echographic Excursion of the Diaphragm for Intubation in COPD- Patients With Acute...

COPD ExacerbationRespiratory Failure

The investigators seek to evaluate if the ultra-sound measure of the diaphragm expansion is predictive of admission into an ICU and/or intubation for patients with COPD. Every patient coming to the ER with shortness of breath and a known or suspected COPD, will undergo standard of care associated with a diaphragm ultrasound. The investigators will then gather, through the internal databases of the recruiting hospitals, information about admission into ICU and/or intubation. The investigators think that this technique will help improve early detection of COPD patient requiring mechanical ventilation, using ultrasound, a non invasive technique.

Genetic Mechanisms Underlying SARS-CoV-2 Infection and the Impact of COVID-19 on Cognitive Function...

Covid19

There is a considerable variation in the disease behavior in terms of contracting the infection, manifesting none to a range of symptoms and severity of the infection among individuals exposed to or infected with SARS-CoV-2 virus, the causative organism of COVID-19. Although the respiratory system appears to be the primary target of this virus infection, emerging evidences suggests involvement of extra-pulmonary organs including central nervous system. We aim to compare the genetic profile of individuals with vs without COVID-19 after being exposed to infected cases. Additionally, we will assess the cognitive function in covid-19 positive cases with vs. without neurological symptoms at the time of infection and 1-month follow-up using the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) questionnaire.

COVID-19

The study objectives are to descript clinical, biological and echocardiographic features of an acute myocarditis in children in the context of COVID-19 and to identify the underlying mechanism : direct viral damage and/or inadequate host response risk.

Educational Follow-up in COPD Patients After Pulmonary Rehabilitation.

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

After pulmonary rehabilitation, the challenge is to maintain the benefits reached during the program and increase physical activity. As exercise training, education is the corner stone of pulmonary rehabilitation. Education allows to support behavioral changes in daily life. Recommendations about modalities for maintaining physical activity are still clear, however for educational follow up recommendations need to be clarified. After a pulmonary rehabilitation program, there is no defined plan for educational follow up nor location to perform education session. The aim of this study is to evaluate the proportion of patients who succeed to establish and maintain the objectives they defined during the pulmonary rehabilitation program, one year after this program.
