Vancomycin Versus Ceftaroline in Patients With Infections Caused by MRSA That Are Susceptible to...
MRSA InfectionBacteremia2 moreTo compare the time to pathogen eradication, and the relationship to the time to clinical improvement, between ceftaroline and case-matched vancomycin treated controls in the treatment of adults with serious infections caused by Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).
Intra-abdominal Pressures During the Spontaneous Breathing Trial
Respiratory FailureIncreased intra-abdominal pressure (IAP) affects pulmonary dynamics. However, little is studied whether pulmonary dynamics affects IAP. We hypothesize that the change of IAP can also reflect the change of pulmonary dynamics. In this study, we choose patients who received spontaneous breathing trial to answer the hypothesis.
RehaSleep Register - Prevalence of Sleep Apnea in Cardiac Rehabilitation
Sleep ApneaPrevalence of sleep-related breath disturbance in patients in cardiac rehabilitation. The aim of the register is to enable a better diagnosis and early treatment initiation in the context of secondary prevention. In addition to the prevalence, the further course of the patients shall be documented after hospital discharge to verify any gaps (sleep laboratory, therapy introduction) and emphasize the importance of rehabilitation and to examine the possibility of initiating therapy in rehabilitation.
Effect of Sleep Apnea on Blood Pressure Control and Outcome Early After Subarachnoid Hemorrhage...
Subarachnoid HemorrhageSleep ApneaIn this observational study patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) will be screened for sleep apnea (SA) to investigate if SA is associated with impaired blood pressure control and worse clinical outcome early after SAH.
Stress Ventricular Function in Evaluating Patients With Pulmonary Hypertension
DyspneaThis study investigated clinical parameters, laboratory data, imaging studies to evaluate patients with suspected pulmonary hypertension.
Plan for Systematic Identification of Lung Cancers of Occupational Origin: Implementation Study...
Broncho Pulmonary CancerThe main objective is to identify obstacles and elements facilitating the implementation of a tracking device Broncho Pulmonary Cancer during the course of care. The secondary objective is to assess patient knowledge and information received on their previous occupational exposure during their professional activity. This is a prospective multicenter study of qualitative methodology through in-depth interviews conducted with patients treated at ICLN and CHU Saint-Etienne
Acute Exacerbation of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Inpatient Registry Study
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary DiseaseThe purpose of this study is to investigate the demographic characteristics, clinical features, diagnoses and treatments of AECOPD hospitalized patients in China, and disease prognosis and its economic burden.
Food Reward in Cachexia Induced by Acute or Chronic Disease
CachexiaChronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease2 moreTo study activity in the reward-circuitry of the brain in patients suffering from cachexia induced by cancer or chronic disease.
Ambulatory Versus Home Blood Pressure Monitoring in Obstructive Sleep Apnea
Obstructive Sleep ApnoeaHypertensionSubjects referred to a sleep clinic had polysomnography (PSG), clinic BP measurements, 24-hour ABP monitoring and HBP monitoring using a device (Microlife WatchBP HomeN) that allows daytime (3 days, 2 duplicate readings/day) and automated nighttime BP measurement (3 nights, 3 readings/night).
The Role of Gastric Content Microaspirations in the Pathogenesis of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis...
IDIOPATHIC PULMONARY FIBROSISThe pathogenesis of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is debatable. Looking for an insult to lung parenchyma that generates the pathogenesis of the disease is challenging. Pepsin is a proteolytic enzyme present in the gastric juice. Microaspirations of gastric content were described as a potential factor for injury in many chronic lung disorders. Bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) is a routine investigation technique in interstitial lung diseases. The presence of pepsin in the BAL fluid recovered from patients with IPF may indicate a possible role for gastric microaspirations in the pathogenesis of the disease.
