Palliative Radiotherapy With Lurbinectedin in Patients With Extensive Stage Small Cell Lung Cancer...
Extensive Stage Lung Small Cell CarcinomaStage IV Lung Cancer AJCC v8This phase I trial aims to determine if it is safe to use palliative radiotherapy and lurbinectedin at the same time to treat small cell lung cancer that has spread outside of the chest and that has grown after being treated with chemotherapy (extensive stage). Lurbinectedin kills tumor cells by blocks a process called transcription that small cell lung cancer relies on to survive. It also damages the deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) of tumor cells, which is similar to the way radiation kills tumor cells. Palliative radiotherapy is a routine medical treatment for patients who have lung cancer that has spread to other parts of the body (metastatic), and is used to relieve symptoms caused by cancer or to patients from developing symptoms. This trial may help doctors understand if treating patients with lurbinectedin and palliative radiotherapy at the same time would make them both work better than either one alone or if they could cause more side effects for patients when given together.
A Study to Explore the Therapeutic Effect of HEC585 on Delaying Forced Vital Capacity (FVC) Decline...
Progressive Fibrosing Interstitial Lung Disease (PF-ILD) / Progressive Pulmonary Fibrosis (PPF)The main goal of this phase llb study is to compare the efficacy and safety of two doses of HEC585 tablets with placebo which is a look-alike substance that contains no active drug in patients with progressive fibrosing interstitial lung diseases. This study is divided into two stages, i.e. main study stage with 24 weeks treatment duration followed by up to 96 weeks treatment extended study stage.
Influence of Vibroacoustic Therapy Modes on the Course of Coronavirus Infection
COVID-19Acute Respiratory Failure1 moreAssessment of the dynamics of changes in physical, instrumental and laboratory parameters in patients with identified coronavirus infection complicated by acute respiratory failure included in the study in accordance with the inclusion criteria, and comparison of the results with the control group, study of the effect of modes when using vibroacoustic lung therapy.
Phase 2a Multiple Ascending Dose Study in Hospitalized Patients With Pneumonia.
Acute Respiratory Distress SyndromeViral or Bacterial Infections5 moreA Phase 2a, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multiple ascending dose study in patients who are hospitalized with presumed pneumonia requiring supplemental oxygen therapy. The purpose of this study is to examine the safety, tolerability and efficacy of AV-001 Injection administration daily to the earlier of day 28 or EOT (day prior to hospital discharge). A total of 120 eligible patients (20 patients in each of cohort 1, 2 and 3 and 60 patients in cohort 4) will be recruited from up to 25 participating institutions/hospitals. Patients will be randomized in a 1:1 ratio to receive either AV-001 Injection or AV-001 placebo Injection, together with standard of care (SOC).
The Potential Use of Nebulized Hydroxychloroquine for the Treatment of COVID-19
2019 Novel CoronavirusThis is a pilot, randomized, single-center, parallel group, open-label controlled study to evaluate the feasibility, safety, efficacy, and pharmacokinetics of nebulized HCQ01 plus Standard of Care (SOC) versus SOC alone in hospitalized COVID-19 patients. The Jordanian Ministry of Health (MOH) is the study sponsor, and the study will be conducted at MOH COVID-19 hospitals. Approximately 110 patients, ≥18 years of age with a confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection, will be enrolled and randomized 1:1 to the treatment and control arms where they will receive ten doses of Hydroxychloroquine solution via nebulizer in addition to SOC or the control arm where treatment will follow the MOH SOC.
Proof of Concept Study of Rilzabrutinib in Adult Participants With Moderate-to-severe Asthma
AsthmaThis is a parallel, treatment, Phase 2, double-blind, 2 arm, 12-week Proof of Concept (PoC) study with 2 staggered cohorts (2 arms in each cohort) that is designed to assess the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of rilzabrutinib in adult participants (aged 18-70 years) with moderate-to-severe asthma who are not well controlled on ICS/LABA therapy. Study treatment includes investigational medicinal product (IMP) (rilzabrutinib or placebo) added-on to a background therapy of ICS/LABA (fluticasone/salmeterol [non-investigational medicinal product], standardized at screening). Background therapy of ICS/LABA will be withdrawn during the 12week randomized treatment period and resumed at the end of the IMP treatment period, as outlined below: Screening period (4 weeks) Randomized IMP treatment period (12 weeks ± 3 days) Background therapy stabilization phase (4 weeks) Background therapy withdrawal phase (4-5 weeks) No background therapy phase (3-4 weeks) Post IMP treatment safety follow-up period (4 weeks ± 3 days)
Efficacy of Two Doses of Duloxetine and Amitriptyline in Subjects With Refractory Chronic Cough...
Refractory Chronic CoughThis research study is evaluating the effectiveness of escalating doses of Amitriptyline and Duloxetine in reducing cough frequency in patients with refractory chronic cough (RCC)
Reversal of Botulinum Neurotoxin Injection Related Dysphonia With Pyridostigmine
DysphoniaSpastic2 moreThe purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of pyridostigmine (Mestinon) on patient vocal outcomes after undergoing laryngeal botulinum neurotoxin (BoNT) injections, which is a standard treatment for spasmodic dysphonia. Pyridostigmine (Mestinon) has been used for treatment of BoNT overdose, and it is our hope that it will be beneficial in the management of post BoNT breathy phase.
Efficacy of Different Doses of Influenza Vaccine in Chronic Hemodialysis Patients
ESRDInfluenza Vaccine1 moreThis study was a randomized controlled trial to investigate the immune response of influenza vaccines when doses were increased. and a second vaccination together with an increase in the amount of vaccine in patients with chronic kidney disease receiving hemodialysis
