Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria:
- patients receiving video assisted thoracic surgery
Exclusion Criteria:
- patients with cardiovascular disease
- patients with neurologic disease
- patients with contraindications to paravertebral block or epidural block
- patients with history of previous VATS
- patients with pain at the expected incision site
