Perceptions of Undergraduate Students and Teaching Staff on Online Teaching
Covid19Spread of COVID-19 in the world has led to a shift in teaching and learning techniques to online methods in order to prevent transmission of the disease. Misr International University (MIU) has an established online learning system that has been used together with face-to-face classes. The aim of this study is to assess and compare the satisfaction and perceptions of full-time teaching staff and undergraduate students regarding online learning during COVID-19 crisis.
Safety and Efficacy of PHR 160 Spray on the Outcomes of Patients With COVID-19
COVID-19This study is a multi-center randomized, controlled, and blinded clinical trial study that will be performed in four medical-educational centers. In this study, the samples will be selected from among patients with SARS-CoV-2 as easy access and based on entry criteria and will be randomly divided into two groups, including a control group and an intervention group. The study will be conducted in four medical centers. From each center, 56 definitive Corona patients will be selected, who will be randomly divided into two groups of 28, for a total of 224 patients will enter the study. In the intervention group, in addition to receiving the test spray, Patients will also receive standard treatment
Clinical Trial of the Use of Tocilizumab for Treatment of SARS-CoV-2 Infection (COVID-19)
COVID-19COVID-19 is a respiratory disease caused by the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) and causes considerable morbidity and mortality. Currently, there is no vaccine or therapeutic agent to prevent and treat a SARS-CoV-2 infection. This clinical trial is designed to evaluate the use of Tocilizumab in combination with hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin for the treatment of hospitalized adult patients with COVID-19.
Dexamethasone and Oxygen Support Strategies in ICU Patients With Covid-19 Pneumonia
Acute Hypoxemic Respiratory FailureCOVID-19The main manifestation of COVID-19 is acute hypoxemic respiratory failure (AHRF). In patients with AHRF, the need for invasive mechanical ventilation is associated with high mortality. Two hypotheses will be tested in this study. The first hypothesis is the benefit of corticosteroid therapy on severe COVID-19 infection admitted in ICU in terms of survival. The second hypothesis is that, in the subset of patients free of mechanical ventilation at admission, either Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) or High-Flow Nasal Oxygen (HFNO) allows to reduce intubation rate safely during COVID-19 related acute hypoxemic respiratory failure.
Analysis of Chilblains pROfile During coVID-19 Epidemic (ACROVID)
COVID-19ChilblainsCases of chilblains have been reported with an unusual frequency in France in the context of the COronaVirus Infectious Disease 2019 (COVID-19) epidemic. Some of these cases have been linked to a virological status in favour of a recent Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome CoronaVirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection. Chilblains are acral inflammatory lesion typically reactive to cold (primary form). There are secondary forms acquired during autoimmune connectivitis such as lupus chilblain or hereditary forms related to type I Interferonopathy. An interferon type I signature has been described in these secondary forms of frostbite but also during the cytokine storm of severe forms of CoV-2 SARS infection. If cases of frostbite are indeed secondary to an SARS-CoV-2 infection, comparative analysis of their immunopathological profiles could provide a better understanding of the inflammatory mechanisms during COVID-19.
Immunity Against SARS-CoV2 in Children and Their Parents / COVID-19
COVID-19 InfectionThe purpose of this study is to provide data on the proportion of seroconverted children and their immune status. It will also provide insight into the number of children currently infected at each time point including healthy carriers. Investigators will provide similar data on their parents in an ancillary study.
COVID-19 Infection and Transmission in Exposed, Confined and Community-based Infants
CoronavirusCoronavirus Infection2 moreAccording to epidemiological models, the seroprevalence of SARS-CoV-2 infection in Île-de-France as of 11 May was between 10 and 15%. Preliminary data on the number of professionals evicted from nurseries on suspicion of COVID-19 (on clinical grounds) seem to be of the same order of magnitude, but need to be confirmed by a biological technique. Children would be susceptible to infection but often asymptomatic.
COVID-19 Associated Endothelial Dysfunction Study
Covid19MicrocirculationSARS-CoV-2 enters human cells through the binding of the spike protein with angiotensin converting enzyme-2 (ACE2), a membrane receptor highly expressed in immune or non-immune cells, and in many organs, including lungs and endothelial cells. In COVID-19 disease, the infection of endothelial might cause an acute endothelial dysfunction. The objective of this study is to demonstrate that patients COVID19 (+) hospitalized in ICU present an acute endothelial dysfunction (compared with COVID19 (-) also hospitalized in ICU). This acute endothelial dysfunction could lead to organ failure, systemic immune dysregulation and thrombosis.
Clinical Study in the Treatment of Patients With COVID-19
COVID-19Multicenter, prospective, double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized, parallel-group phase III study. The study is designed for 2 treatment groups: Group 1 of the investigational drug - Patients receive standard therapy and the investigational drug. Group 2 of comparison - Patients receive standard therapy and placebo.
