Lot-to-lot Consistency of an Inactivated SARS-CoV-2 Vaccine Between Different Workshops in Healthy...

COVID-19

This study is a double-blind, randomized phase Ⅳ clinical trial of the inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccine (CoronaVac)manufactured by Sinovac Research & Development Co., Ltd. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the lot-to-lot consistency ,immunogenicity and safety of COVID-19 vaccine between the commercialized scale in workshop 2 and 3 and the commercialized scale in workshop 1 in healthy children aged 3-17 years.

Hemoperfusion With the Efferon CT Extracorporeal Adsorbers in Patients With Severe Covid-19

COVID-19

Direct extracorporeal removal of inflammatory mediators with various adsorbents has been suggested as a novel treatment modality for COVID-19 patients. Study determined safety, feasibility and effectiveness of clinical use of a hemoperfusion (HP) with a novel styrene- divinylbenzene copolymer (SDC) adsorbers to remove pro-inflammatory molecules from the bloodstream of COVID-19 patients.

Far-UVC Light Devices in Long-term Care Facilities to Reduce Infections

COVID-19 Respiratory InfectionRespiratory Virus Infection1 more

Elderly people who have multiple health problems are at higher risk of illness from viral respiratory infections, such as influenza (the flu) and COVID-19. This is especially true for residents in long-term care because the usual methods of infection control (handwashing, mask-wearing, and distancing) are difficult to enforce due to the memory problems of many residents and the frequently shared common spaces. It can also be difficult to prevent the spread of viral infections within long-term care because many residents are unable to tell their caregivers when they are feeling ill. Also, some elderly people do not show typical symptoms of infection (like fever), instead they may suddenly become confused or weak. This study will test if a safe form of ultraviolet light (far-UVC) can be effective as an extra method of disinfection (in addition to usual manual cleaning) against airborne and surface viruses that can cause respiratory infections.

Immunogenicity of the ChAdox1 n CoV-19 Vaccine With 12-dose Vial

Covid19Vaccine1 more

ChAd0x1 nCoV-19 (AZD 1222) is the main vaccine that is planned to roll-out in Thailand and involve vaccinating people especially in high-risk categories. This vaccine is contained in the multiple-dose vial for vaccinating 10 recipients for 0.5 mL each. However, the additional volume of vaccine was overfilled to 6.5 mL per vial which the vaccination can be administered to more than 10 doses. The University Hospital Network (UHOSNET) and Faculty of Medicine Vajira Hospital, Navamindradhiraj University have jointly stipulated the preparation and vaccination of ChAdox1 - n CoV-19 vaccine with 12 doses per vial injection with traditional 21 or 24 G needle. Taken together, The investigators planned to investigate the immune response of participants after first dose of ChAd0x1 nCoV-19 vaccination with such technique

Impact of Facemasks on Running During COVID-19 Pandemic

Shortness of Breath

Randomized crossover clinical trial in which a group of runners are ask to complete a 15 minutes standardized physical test on a treadmill. The same group of participants are randomized to the order in which they use a facemask (surgical mask, polyester reusable cloth mask) or no mask, while running. Each test, according to the type of mask or no mask, are held on different dates. Heart rate, oxygen saturation and shortness of breath are measured every 3 minutes during the test.

Safety and Immunogenicity of COVID-19 Vaccine Administered in Older Adults

COVID-19 VaccineOlder Adults

The COVID-19 pandemic is causing unprecedented morbidity and mortality. The safe and effective Novel coronavirus vaccine is an effective means to block the transmission of the virus by building up the immune barrier of the population.Clinical studies have shown that elderly people are at high risk of severe COVID-19 infection and have poor clinical prognosis.Considering the current situation of aging population in China, the elderly people should be given priority to vaccinate to obtain protection and reduce the risk of novel coronavirus infection. However, the current data on vaccines are mostly from young and middle-aged healthy people, while there is little research data on COVID-19 vaccination in the elderly. This study mainly studied the safety and effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccine in the elderly population and explored its potential immune mechanism.
