While many people with COVID-19 suffer from respiratory disease, there is growing evidence that the virus also affects other organs. The purpose of this study is to better understand the effects of COVID-19 on the lungs and other organs. The study investigators have developed new techniques in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) to scan the lungs, heart, brain and liver. The study investigators hope to learn more about how the virus causes inflammation in these organs and how this inflammation changes over time as people recover from COVID-19 illness. The study aims to enroll 228 people in Alberta. Participants will undergo one or more MRI scans and have blood testing at one or more time points to assess for inflammation, kidney function, liver function and possible heart injury. Participants will also undergo testing to assess sense of smell, cognition (thinking and memory), spirometry (breathing test for lung function) and and exercise tolerance (walk test). The study investigators hope this study will help us learn more about the long-term risks of COVID-19 disease.

In severe COVID-19 infections, after pulmonary inflammation, cardiovascular organ failure, cytokine storm, hemophagocytosis, septic shock, develops due to uncontrolled hypoxia, and isolated organ failure turns into multi-organ failure. It is noteworthy that it causes lymphopenia in patients. In the studies, the blood levels of certain inflammatory cytokines, interleukin-1β,interleukin-6 and TNF-α, were evaluated. In addition, blood values of a limited number of cytokines were investigated similarly in a limited number of studies published in our country.

This is a multi-center, open-label study evaluating the safety of Allocetra-OTS, in 5 subjects with severe COVID-19 and respiratory dysfunction. Subjects, who will be identified as suffering from COVID-19, will be recruited. After signing an informed consent by the patient and, within 24+6 hours following the time of eligibility (time 0), on Day 1, eligible recipient subjects will receive single intravenous (IV) administration of investigational product as described below. Subjects will be hospitalized for COVID-19, and later as medically indicated. Following investigational product (IP) administration (Day 1), subjects will be followed for efficacy and safety assessments through 28 days.

The present study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Teleorientation in oral hygiene during Pandemic by COVID-19 in children aged 6 to 10 years, attended at the Pediatric Clinic of Forp. For this, a randomized clinical study will be carried out with the factor to be analyzed the comparison between synchronous and asynchronous teleorientation, the effectiveness of the transfer of knowledge in oral hygiene through video modeling and remote guidance. The response variables will be the assimilation of oral hygiene guidance through video modeling and synchronous guidance, the hypothesis is that educational content will have beneficial effects on children's oral health.

This project is part of a competitive revision to accelerate COVID-19 testing in underserved populations. The overall aim is to implement strategies to expand COVID testing in hotspot communities in MA, through 6 community health center (CHC)-community partnerships. A base strategy will be implemented at all sites. A tailored strategy unique to local populations will be added and tested in a stepped wedge design.
