Baldachin: Ceiling HEPA-filtration to Prevent Nosocomial Transmission of COVID-19

COVID-19

In this study, a patient space occupied by a patient with confirmed COVID-19 in an open-space multiple bed area in the Intermediate Care Unit will be equipped with a mobile, optimally placed high efficiency particulate air ("HEPA")-equivalent air filtration unit ("Baldachin") in addition to existing hospital policy infection prevention and control measures. The investigators are going to evaluate this intervention regarding its capacity to prevent the nosocomial onwards transmission of Sars-COV2 to patients located in the same multiple-bed open space patient area.

A Study to Evaluate the Safety, Tolerability, and Immunogenicity of Combined Modified RNA Vaccine...

InfluenzaHuman1 more

Substudy A: This is a Phase 1 randomized, open-label study to describe the safety and immunogenicity of up to 3 dose- level combinations of modRNA quadrivalent influenza vaccine (qIRV (22/23)) and bivalent BNT162b2 (original/Omi BA.4/BA.5). Participants will receive either: qIRV (22/23)/bivalent BNT162b2 (original/Omi BA.4/BA.5), at 1 of the 3 dose-level combinations qIRV (22/23) at dose level 1, qIRV (22/23) at dose level 2, or bivalent BNT162b2 (original/Omi BA.4/BA.5) at dose level 1 administered concurrently in the opposite arm to commercially licensed quadrivalent influenza vaccine (QIV). Substudy B: This Phase 1/2 study will describe the safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity of quadrivalent influenza vaccine (qIRV)/bivalent BNT162b2 (original/Omi BA.4/BA.5), trivalent influenza vaccine (tIRV)/bivalent BNT162b2 (original/Omi BA.4/BA.5), and bivalent influenza vaccine (bIRV)/bivalent BNT162b2 (original/Omi BA.4/BA.5) when given concurrently with licensed quadrivalent influenza vaccine (QIV).

Intervention to Prevent Behavioral Health Symptoms Among Pandemic Affected Children

Emotional DistressProsocial Behavior4 more

Racial and ethnic minority children who live in socioeconomically disadvantaged communities are disproportionately impacted by pandemic and climate-induced disasters. Although effective interventions have been designed to treat mental health related symptoms in post-disaster settings, accessible, empirically supported prevention interventions are needed to prevent the onset of mental and behavioral health issues among these children. Building on our preliminary findings, the proposed study examines the efficacy and implementation of a COVID-19 adapted disaster focused prevention intervention, Journey of Hope-C19, in preventing behavioral health and interpersonal problems among racial and ethnic minority children who live in low-resource high poverty communities.

COVID-19 Booster Study in Healthy Adults in Australia

COVID-19

This is a double-blinded, randomised study to determine the safety, reactogenicity, and immunogenicity of a bivalent mRNA Moderna COVID-19 vaccine or a protein-based Novavax COVID-19 vaccine given as a fourth dose in healthy adults in Australia.

A Vaccine Booster (GEO-CM04S1) for the Prevention of COVID-19 in Patients With Chronic Lymphocytic...

Chronic Lymphocytic LeukemiaCOVID-19 Infection

This phase II trial compares the effect of the GEO-CM04S1 vaccine with the current standard of care vaccine in preventing COVID-19 infections in patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). The GEO-CM04S1 vaccine uses a modified vaccinia virus (MVA) backbone that may be more effective at boosting COVID-19 immunity in patients with poor immune responses. MVA strongly induces T cell expansion (infection fighting blood cells) even in the background of a suppressed immune system, which is the case in the targeted CLL patient population. Using the GEO-CM04S1 vaccine may be more effective at preventing COVID-19 infection in patients diagnosed with CLL.

rSIFN-co Among Healthy Subjects and Subjects With Mild or Asymptomatic COVID-19

COVID-19SARS-CoV-2 Infection

This is a phase II pilot, international, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study that aims to evaluate the safety and preliminary efficacy of rSIFN-co nasal spray in healthy subjects in close contact with confirmed COVID-19 case(s) as well as subjects with mild or asymptomatic COVID-19.

Phase 2/3 Heterologous Boosting Study With Different Dose Levels of Monovalent SARS-CoV-2 rS Vaccines...

COVID-19

This is a Phase 2/3, randomized, double-blind study to evaluate the safety and immunogenicity of different booster dose levels of the monovalent severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) recombinant (r) spike (S) protein nanoparticle (SARS-CoV-2 rS) vaccines with Matrix-M™ adjuvant (NVX-CoV2373 [prototype Wuhan vaccine with Matrix-M adjuvant] or NVX-CoV2601 [Omicron XBB.1.5 subvariant vaccine with Matrix-M adjuvant]).

A Safety and Immune Response Study to Evaluate Varying Doses of an mRNA Vaccine Against Coronavirus...

COVID-19

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, reactogenicity and immune responses of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) mRNA-CR-04 vaccine construct when administered in healthy adults previously vaccinated with SARS-CoV-2 mRNA vaccines.

RADx-UP- Impact of Community Health Worker Deployment

DiabetesCOVID-195 more

The proposed project will implement and evaluate a brief Community Health Worker (CHW) intervention through the Albany Area Primary Health Care, a rural Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). The primary goal of this study is to maximize effective outreach, education, and communication through CHWs in order to facilitate improved COVID-19 vaccine confidence and uptake in underserved and vulnerable communities. CHWs will be deployed to the homes of adults with increased risk of morbidity and mortality (i.e., African Americans or Latinos with uncontrolled diabetes or prediabetes, age <50 years, and non-COVID-19 vaccinated) in order to educate them about diabetes, COVID-19 and related vaccines. Health assessments, including blood glucose measurement, will be conducted on the indexed patient and offered to all other adult family members in the household (i.e., "bubble"). Adults with Type 2 diabetes likely live in households with other adults who have or are at increased risk for diabetes (i.e., prediabetes and obesity).1 It is expected that they will also share similar COVID-19 exposure risk. The specific aims are to: 1) Evaluate a community-driven education program to increase and enhance COVID-19 vaccine confidence and uptake in individuals with uncontrolled diabetes and their families (i.e., their "bubble") and 2) Evaluate a community-driven education program to improve diabetes self-management behaviors and related outcomes (e.g., blood glucose) in individuals with uncontrolled diabetes in rural, Southwest Georgia.

UNAIR Inactivated COVID-19 Vaccine as Heterologue Booster (Immunobridging Study)

COVID-19 PandemicCOVID-19 Vaccines

This is an observer blind randomized controlled trial study to evaluate the humoral immunogenicity profile - neutralizing antibody - after 28 days following vaccination with Vaksin Merah Putih - UA SARS-CoV-2 (Vero Cell Inactivated) vaccine as heterologue booster compared with CoronaVac administered intramuscularly in healthy adults age 18 year and above. Vaksin Merah Putih - UA SARS-CoV-2 (Vero Cell Inactivated) vaccine is an inactivated vaccine made of SARS-CoV-2 virus isolated from a patient in Surabaya, composed with aluminium hydroxy gel, tween 80, and L-histidine, and this will be the first booster study in human.
