CAP-1002 in Severe COVID-19 Disease

COVID-19

This expanded access protocol will enroll subjects with a clinical diagnosis of COVID-19 confirmed by laboratory testing and who are in critical condition as indicated by life support measurements. Eligible subjects will receive open-label intravenous administration of investigational product (CAP-1002) containing 150 million allogeneic Cardiosphere-Derived Cells (CDCs). CAP-1002 administration will be conducted at the investigative site on Day 1 and weekly up to a maximum of 4 doses, based on clinical course. Subjects will complete protocol assessments at Screening; Day 1; Weeks 1-3; and Follow-up by phone 30 and 90 days after the last infusion. Baseline assessments will be conducted prior to first infusion on Day 1. The patient will be observed during the lengths of hospitalization and monitored for outcome and safety. Safety and outcome data will be collected and reported at the conclusion of treatment and follow-up.

The Clinical Difference Between the Nonfatal Patients and the Fatal Patients With Severe COVID-19...

Coronavirus Disease 2019Character of the Severe Patients

To investigate the difference of the difference between the nonfatal Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Patients and the fatal Patients .The cross sectional study was undertaken to compare the clinical information (laboratory and radiologic characteristics)of nonfatal participants and fatal cases. The investigators wish figure out the clinical character of the fatal participants. The result may help the physician to find the fatal patients with COVID-19 more easily. The fatal patients with COVID-19 could be treated early.

The Prone Position in Covid-19 Affected Patients

Sars-CoV2

The prone position during mechanical ventilation in patients with Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) is able to improve oxygenation and thus reduce mortality. The objective of the study is to evaluate the ability of the prone position to increase the oxygenation of the patient with SARS-cov-2 pneumonia.

Social Media and COVID-19

CoronavirusDepression2 more

In this protocol, we seek to examine the role of popular messaging platform WhatsApp in information spread during a crisis. As there have been few global crises in the last decade (coinciding with the rise of social media), the role of private messaging platforms such as WhatsApp during crisis contexts remains understudied. During the current COVID-19 global health crisis, we undertook this study to: (1) characterize the nature of WhatsApp use during crises, (2) characterize the profiles of WhatsApp users (3) understand how WhatsApp usage links to well-being (fear and thoughts about COVID-19).

Impact of Giving Birth During the Covid 19 Pandemia on Postnatal Women's Depression

Postnatal Depression

Postnatal depression is an important problematic in French population with approximatively 10 -20% of women who suffer from postnatal depression. This pathology may have strong negative impact on both women and neonate's health. The women's satisfaction degree in front of childbirth is an important factor associated with postnatal depression since women unsatisfied of their childbirth and/or women with a complicated childbirth are more encline to suffer from postnatal depression. It is likely that the actual context of Covid 19 pandemia and the change in obstetrical cares organization may have a negative impact on women's satisfaction about their childbirth and so a negative impact on the risk of postnatal depression.

Lung Ultrasound to Diagnose COVID-19

Covid-19Lung Ultrasound1 more

Covid-19 (English acronym meaning coronavirus disease 2019) is an emerging infectious disease caused by a strain of coronavirus called SARS-CoV-2. The current pandemic has resulted in a significant number of admissions in the emergency room (ER) due to suspicion of COVID-19 infection. Use of lung ultrasound is standard practice to diagnose acute respiratory failure in ER. Recently, typical lung ultrasonographic characteristics of COVID-19 disease has been described. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the use of this tool could be of interest in order to allow an early, simple and reliable triage in patients with suspected COVID-19 infection admitted in ER. In addition, the visualization of early signs in specific areas could be a predictive marker of the severity of the disease. The objective of this project will be to study the association between the signs on lung ultrasound and the result of RT-PCR in patients with suspected COVID-19 infection in the ER.

Management of Diabetic Patients With Telemedicine in the Context of the Covid-19 Epidemic

DiabetesCovid-19

Since the end of February 2020, Covid-19 infection has spread widely in France, particularly in the East region, with on March 25th, 2020, 5,479 infected patients and 407 deceased patients, including 256 in Alsace. Among the hospitalized patients reported in the initial Chinese studies, 48% had co-morbidity, particularly diabetes or cardiovascular disease. Covid-19 infection does not appear to be more common in diabetic patients, but infected diabetics have more severe forms. The prevalence of diabetes is high in Alsace affecting 6.5% of the population against 4.6% in France. Du to health containment measures, asymptomatic diabetic patients can no longer come to the clinic in Hospital for their consultation. However, in the current epidemiological context, maintaining optimal glycemic control is fundamental since some of diabetic patients will have Covid-19 infections. Furthermore, the sedentary lifestyle and snacking linked to the confinement period will contribute to a glycemic imbalance in some patients. Telemedicine, and in particular teleconsultation, which until now has been very uncommon in the management of diabetic patients, represents a very interesting alternative for monitoring these patients and maintaining satisfactory metabolic control during the current period of confinement and Covid-19 epidemic.
