The project proposes to evaluate a strategy for prioritizing teleconsultation for patients with chronic inflammatory rheumatic diseases during the COVID-19 pandemia. This selection will be done through telephone contact by medical students, supervised by residents and rheumatologists on a patient database. The other objectives are to assess the impact of the pandemia on the physical and mental health of patients classified as being at risk

80 participants studying in the physiotherapy technician department were included in this cross-sectional study. Participants' age, gender, year of being a student, the people they live with, the precautions they take regarding COVID-19, whether there is a history of COVID-19 in them or their immediate surroundings, and whether they have COVID-19 transmission and / or contagion fears during their vocational training, whether there are fears of achieving professional goals and competence because of COVID-19 and / or its consequences were recorded. Afterwards, the participants were asked to answer the questions on the coronavirus anxiety scale, the fear of COVID-19 scale and the cognitive and behavioral avoidance subscales of the Avoidance Attitudes from COVID-19 scale.

Aim:There is still not enough data to determine methylprednisolone treatment timing, dosage, duration of use and indication in Covid 19 pneumonia. The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between drug dose and hospitalisation time and mortality rates in patients with pre-diagnosis of severe covid pneumonia and systemic methylprednisolone. Materials and Methods: The demographic data, symptom durations, thorax CT findings, methylprednisolone dose and duration of treatment, hospitalisation times, intensive care hospitalizations of the patients who were initiated and hospitalized in the emergency department will be retrospectively recorded. Finally, the fate of the patients (such as discharge, referral, death) will be recorded.Statistical analysis will be conducted using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) (IBM Corp. Released 2015. IBM SPSS Statistics for Windows, Version 21.0. Armonk, NY: IBM Corp.) program.

This is a multi-center, retrospective, study to determine if therapeutic dose anticoagulation (High dose group) improves inpatient mortality in severely ill patients with COVID-19 compared to prophylactic dose anticoagulation (Low dose group). The study involved 704 individuals who were admitted to Beaumont Health System (BHS) from March 10th to April 15th, 2020.

Self-swabbing requires less personal protective equipment and could allow to test more people and even to do quick self-diagnosis if antigenic tests are available. In a preliminary study on 190 medical students, the investigators have shown that self and conventional swabbing were identically well-accepted with equivalent level of pain and discomfort induced by swabbing. In a sub-group of this sample, the investigators have shown that the quality of the 2 sampling methods were equivalent. The goal of this large study in the general population is to confirm these findings in an adequately powered study. Such results would allow to develop self-swabbing for large screening campaigns and eventually self-diagnosis using antigenic tests.

Introduction The present survey aimed to provide a comprehensive overview of the Italian scenario concerning general surgery during the first wave COVID-19 outbreak and evaluate the experiences, trends, attitudes, and possible educational outcomes that this emergency brought to light. Material and Methods A 31-item survey was designed and edited by the scientific board of the ACOI (Associazione Chirurghi Ospedalieri Italiani), addressing the impact of the pandemic outbreak on surgical staff and activity during the period from March 9 to May 30, 2020 (phase 1, lockdown period) and addressing the status of surgical activity, staff, and surgery resumption in the period from June 1 to September 30, 2020 (phase 3, restart). One of the major problems in suppressing the spreading of an epidemic resides in understanding and monitoring its propagation patterns, and in evaluating how these are modified by enforced policies. The standard solution requires detailed information at the microscopic scales, e.g. how infected people have moved and whom they came in contact with, which is hardly ever available. The researchers propose a novel approach to the study of the propagation of COVID-19, in which a proxy of this information is derived at macroscopic scales. This will be based on two ingredients: the spatiotemporal study in shiny with mathematical models with aggregated or non aggregated data and the reconstruction of functional networks of spreading patterns, and the development of a supporting software.
