Cooling Plus Best Medical Treatment Versus Best Medical Treatment Alone for Acute Ischaemic Stroke...
Acute Ischemic StrokeThe purpose of this study is to determine if systemic cooling to a target temperature of 34 to 35°C, started within 6 hours of symptom onset and maintained for 12 hours, improves functional outcome at 3 months in patients with acute ischaemic stroke.
Phase 3, Randomized, Placebo-Controlled, Double-Blinded Trial of the Combined Lysis of Thrombus...
Acute Ischemic StrokeThis is a randomized, placebo-controlled, phase 3 clinical trial to evaluate the efficacy and safety of transcranial ultrasound (US) as an adjunctive therapy to tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) treatment in subjects with acute ischemic stroke.
Normobaric Oxygen Therapy in Acute Ischemic Stroke Trial
Ischemic StrokeThe purpose of this study is to compare the safety and efficacy of treating individuals with acute ischemic stroke with normobaric oxygen therapy (NBO, given within 9 hours of symptom onset), to standard medical treatment.
A Study of Effectiveness and Safety of Abciximab in Patients With Acute Ischemic Stroke (AbESTT-II)...
Cerebrovascular AccidentBrain Ischemia1 moreThe purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of abciximab in the treatment of acute ischemic stroke.
FRALYSE Trial: Comparison of the Classical Rt-PA Procedure With a Longer Procedure in Acute Ischemic...
StrokeAcuteData from the literature have suggested that a longer time of thrombolysis might be more effective in ischemic stroke. We, the investigators at Hospices Civils de Lyon, have designed a randomized protocol to test this hypothesis. Moreover, the therapeutic window is 7 hours. Rt-PA (alteplase) is injected intravenously in the 2 arms of the study for a duration of 60 minutes in the arm with a "classical dose" and 90 minutes in the arm with a "low dose-longer infusion". This is a study of the outcome at 90 days.
A Phase I Study to Evaluate Safety and Pharmacokinetics of Escalating Single Doses and Multiple...
AtherosclerosisIschemic StrokeThis is a 2-part, single-centre, randomised study in healthy males. Part 1 is a double-blind, randomised, placebo-controlled, single ascending dose (SAD) study in healthy males. Part 2 is a double-blind, randomised, placebo-controlled, multiple ascending dose (MAD) study in healthy males.
Evaluate Endovascular Treatment of Large Ischemic Stroke With Substantial Penumbra.
Acute Ischemic StrokeLarge cerebral infarctions are frequent and associated with a poor outcome. Previous cohort studies results suggest that patients with an acute ischemic stroke with large core and substantial penumbra on perfusion imaging benefit from EVT while those with no salvageable ischemic tissue did not. The Investigator aim to demonstrate in a randomized controlled trials (RCT) that EVT (Endo Vascular Treatment) in addition to BMT (Best Medical Treatment) increases the rate of functional recovery (mRS 0-2) at 3 months in patients with a LVO-related AIS with a large core and substantial penumbra evolving for less than 24hrs
Efficacy and Safety of Metamizole Versus Placebo as Antithermic Therapy in the Acute Phase of Ischemic...
StrokeClinical efficacy and safety of Metamizole 2 g i.v. versus placebo, as antithermic therapy in the acute phase of ischemic stroke.
Study to Evaluate the Long-Term Safety, Tolerability and Efficacy of Dalfampridine.
Post-ischemic StrokeThis is an extension study to evaluate the long-term safety, tolerability, and efficacy of two dose strengths of dalfampridine-ER.
Recovery by Endovascular Salvage for Cerebral Ultra-acute Embolism (RESCUE)-Japan RCT
Ischemic StrokeThe aim of this study is to clarify the efficacy of the endovascular treatment for acute ischemic stroke patients with large vessel occlusion and are not respond to intravenous recombinant tissue plasminogen activator (rt-PA) therapy.
