Testing Nivolumab With or Without Ipilimumab in Deficient Mismatch Repair System (dMMR) Recurrent...

Endometrial AdenocarcinomaEndometrial Carcinoma7 more

This phase II trial tests whether the combination of nivolumab and ipilimumab is better than nivolumab alone to shrink tumors in patients with deficient mismatch repair system (dMMR) endometrial carcinoma that has come back after a period of time during which the cancer could not be detected (recurrent). Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) mismatch repair (MMR) is a system for recognizing and repairing damaged DNA. In 2-3% of endometrial cancers this may be due to a hereditary condition resulted from gene mutation called Lynch Syndrome (previously called hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer or HNPCC). MMR deficient cells usually have many DNA mutations. Tumors that have evidence of mismatch repair deficiency tend to be more sensitive to immunotherapy. There is some evidence that nivolumab with ipilimumab can shrink or stabilize cancers with deficient mismatch repair system. However, it is not known whether this will happen in endometrial cancer; therefore, this study is designed to answer that question. Monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab and ipilimumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving nivolumab in combination with ipilimumab may be better than nivolumab alone in treating dMMR recurrent endometrial carcinoma.

Fallopian Tube CarcinosarcomaFallopian Tube Clear Cell Adenocarcinoma27 more

This phase I trial studies the side effects and best dose of peposertib when given together with pegylated liposomal doxorubicin hydrochloride in treating patients with high or low grade ovarian cancer that has come back (recurrent). Peposertib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as pegylated liposomal doxorubicin hydrochloride, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving peposertib and pegylated liposomal doxorubicin hydrochloride may work better in treating patients with ovarian cancer compared to pegylated liposomal doxorubicin hydrochloride alone.

Fallopian Tube Endometrioid AdenocarcinomaFallopian Tube Mucinous Adenocarcinoma31 more

This phase I trial studies the side effects of hyperthermic intraepithelial chemotherapy with cisplatin after surgery or cisplatin before surgery in treating patients with stage III or IV ovarian, fallopian tube or peritoneal cancer receiving chemotherapy before surgery. Hyperthermic intraepithelial chemotherapy involves the infusion of heated cytotoxic chemotherapy that circulates into the abdominal cavity at the time of surgery. Chemotherapy drugs, such as cisplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving hyperthermic intraepithelial chemotherapy with cisplatin after surgery or cisplatin before surgery may kill more tumor cells compared to usual care.

METIMMOX-2: Metastatic pMMR/MSS Colorectal Cancer - Shaping Anti-Tumor Immunity by Oxaliplatin

Colorectal AdenocarcinomaMucinous Adenocarcinoma1 more

Hypothesis: Patients with metastatic colorectal cancer with DNA mismatch repair-proficient (pMMR) function / microsatellite-stable (MSS) phenotype harbor a non-immunogenic disease that can be transformed into an immunogenic condition by short-course oxaliplatin-based therapy, and may achieve durable disease control or even tumor eradication by the addition of immune checkpoint blockade therapy to the standard-of-care oxaliplatin-based treatment.

Fallopian Tube Mucinous AdenocarcinomaOvarian Seromucinous Carcinoma48 more

This phase II trial studies the possible benefits of treatment with different combinations of the drugs durvalumab, olaparib and cediranib vs. the usual treatment in patients with ovarian, primary peritoneal, or fallopian tube cancer that has come back after a period of improvement with platinum therapy (recurrent platinum resistant). Usual treatment is the type of treatment most patients with this condition receive if they are not part of a clinical study. Combination therapies studied in this trial include MEDI4736 (durvalumab) plus olaparib and cediranib, durvalumab and cediranib, or olaparib and cediranib. Monoclonal antibodies, such as durvalumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumors cells to grow and spread. Olaparib is an inhibitor of PARP, an enzyme that helps repair deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) when it becomes damaged. Blocking PARP may help keep cancer cells from repairing their damaged DNA, causing them to die. PARP inhibitors are a type of targeted therapy. Cediranib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking VEGF (an enzyme). needed for cell growth. Giving different combinations of durvalumab, olaparib and cediranib may work better in increasing the duration of time that the cancer does not progress compared to the usual treatment.

Talimogene Laherparepvec and Nivolumab in Treating Patients With Refractory Lymphomas or Advanced...

Adenoid Cystic Skin CarcinomaAdnexal Carcinoma40 more

This phase II trial studies how well talimogene laherparepvec and nivolumab work in treating patients with lymphomas that do not responded to treatment (refractory) or non-melanoma skin cancers that have spread to other places in the body (advanced) or do not responded to treatment. Biological therapies, such as talimogene laherparepvec, use substances made from living organisms that may stimulate or suppress the immune system in different ways and stop tumor cells from growing. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving talimogene laherparepvec and nivolumab may work better compared to usual treatments in treating patients with lymphomas or non-melanoma skin cancers.

Mucinous Adenocarcinoma of the RectumSignet Ring Adenocarcinoma of the Rectum6 more

This phase II trial studies how well bevacizumab, fluorouracil, leucovorin calcium, and oxaliplatin before surgery works in treating patients with stage II-III rectal cancer. Monoclonal antibodies, such as bevacizumab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as fluorouracil, leucovorin calcium, and oxaliplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving bevacizumab together with fluorouracil, leucovorin calcium, and oxaliplatin may be an effective treatment for rectal cancer.
