A New Prognostic Score Model for Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma

Neoplasms Pancreatic

The AJCC TNM staging system is the prevailing method in prognostic evaluation of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) at present , but it did not include factors such as the tumor immune microenvironment that are known to exert a profound impact on patients'clinical outcome. This study was aimed to develop a comprehensive and effective prognostic score model to predict prognosis and guide clinical management for postoperative PDAC patients.

Significance of Cortactin Expression in Colorectal Adenocarcinomas

Cancer Colon

Colorectal carcinoma is one of the most aggressive malignant epithelial neoplasms affecting the gastrointestinal tract. The incidence of colorectal carcinoma is obviously increasing in developing countries, where the physical inactivity and the consumption of animal fat-rich food became more evident. Colorectal tumorigenesis is a multistep process which is initiated by adenoma and is terminated by carcinoma, the latter shows variable degrees of tumor differentiation and invasiveness. During the adenoma-carcinoma process; a series of genetic mutations occur. Detection of these genetic mutations will help in the development of novel therapeutic agents, which in turn will improve patients' outcomes. Cortactin (CTTN) is a Src kinase substrate, encoded by a gene located on chromosome 11. CTTN binds to and activates Arp 2/3 and stabilizes the dynamic actin assembly after its formation. So, it become clear that CTTN is involved in the formation of the leading-edges cellular protrusions.

Adenocarcinoma of the Uterine Cervix and HPV

Adenocarcinoma of the Uterine Cervix

The present study will mainly aim to review and characterize the pathologic features, treatment options, and follow-up outcomes of women with in situ/microinvasive adenocarcinoma of the uterine cervix according to HPV status (positive versus negative high-risk HPV). It will evaluate the impact of HPV status on the recurrence and survival during a follow-up of five years. The present study will be a multi-institutional study including several oncological Italian Centers. Data will be retrospectively collected from January 2012 to December 2016 with a total follow-up of 5 years.

A Study of IMMray™ PanCan-d Test for Early Detection of Pancreatic Cancer in High-risk Groups

Pancreatic Ductal AdenocarcinomaFamilial Pancreatic Cancer1 more

PanFAM-1 is a clinical study for early detection of pancreatic cancer in high-risk groups. The goals of the study are to assess the performance and diagnostic accuracy of the IMMray™ PanCan-d test compared to standard-of-care imaging.

Role of Low Inferior Mesenteric Artery Ligation During Laparoscopic Surgery for Rectosigmoid Cancer...

Rectosigmoid Adenocarcinoma

During sigmoid or rectal cancer surgery, dissection of lymphnodes at the origin of inferior mesenteric artery is mandatory. Nevertheless, ligation of the origin of IMA should compromise blood supply to left colon and affect anastomosis. The aim of this retrospective evaluation is to compare high and low IMA ligation with preservation of LCA, with or without skeletonization of the origin of IMA in laparoscopic colorectal resection.

Gastric Microperfusion in Patients Undergoing Gastroesophageal Resections

Gastroesophageal Junction AdenocarcinomaSurgery

Gastroesophageal resection because of gastroesophageal junction (GEJ) adenocarcinoma is a massive surgical intervention. Currently, gastroesophageal cancer surgery is performed with upper laparotomy followed by thoracotomy at the Department of Surgical Gastroenterology, Rigshospitalet, Denmark. However, minimal invasive techniques (MIT), e.g. robotic assisted laparoscopy, is in the progress of being implemented in this field as they are hypothesized to be more beneficial for the patients, and in some aspects better than conventional laparoscopic surgery. The operative procedure is often complicated by low blood pressure (systolic blood pressure less than 90 mm Hg is experienced in more than 30 % of the patients) and is probably accompanied by a reduced splanchnic microcirculatory flow, leading to increased morbidity. Hypotension may be due to several factors, among them are epidural analgesia, mesentery traction reflex, and inflammatory and vasoactive hormones. Aim of the project The aim of the project is, through a series of sub-projects, to validate or invalidate the relationship between changes in the microcirculatory blood flow in the stomach and the systemic hemodynamic changes. Furthermore, the aim is to assess the changes in the microcirculatory blood flow as a consequence of the thoracic epidural anesthesia. In addition, the aim is to assess the hypothesis that the mesenteric traction reflex and changes in the PGI2 levels may influence systemic hemodynamic changes, and that robotic assisted MIT will attenuate the mesenteric traction reflex and changes in PGI2 compared to open surgery.

AVAdeno Study: An Observational Study of First-Line Avastin (Bevacizumab) in Patients With Adenocarcinoma...

Non-Squamous Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

This prospective observational study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of first-line Avastin (bevacizumab) in combination with platinum-based chemotherapy in different age groups (<60, 60-69, 70-79, >80 years) in patients with inoperable advanced, metastatic or recurrent adenocarcinoma non-small cell lung cancer. Patients will be followed for 18 months from the start of first-line therapy.

Evaluation of Interest Chemo-oncogramme in Patients With Colonic Adenocarcinoma Stage 4

Colon Cancer

In patients with colonic adenocarcinoma stage 4 which are potentially resectable metastases (lung and liver metastases), treatment with chemotherapy is necessary but not end in success in 10% of cases. The development of techniques for administering personalized treatment becomes necessary for these patients. Thus, in vitro tests on cells from tumors of these patients and evaluating the effect of chemotherapy on these could be made for each patient. In France, the company develops Oncomedics these tests. This is a pilot study that will make a first evaluation under actual conditions of chimio-oncogramme.

Ischemic Heart Disease in Male With Prostate Adenocarcinoma

Ischemic Heart DiseaseProstate Adenocarcinoma

The purpose of the study: to increase the efficiency of diagnosis, treatment and prediction of the course of coronary heart disease in patients with adenocarcinoma of the prostate gland, depending on the hormonal status by determining the cardiovascular risk factors, factors of angiogenesis, structural and functional state of the heart, coronary vessels, kidney damage and their pharmacological correction.
