This study aims to develop a nomogram to predict postoperative recurrence of HAS and guide individually tailored surveillance strategies.

The research purpose of this project is to create a registry, and blood and tissue bank for individuals at high-risk for pancreatic cancer. We plan to conduct histopathological and molecular analysis of resected pancreatic tissue prospectively collected from a cohort of pancreatic cancer patients.

The differences in patient's clinicopathological characteristic between high and low prevalence of gastric cancer region should be further examined to elucidate factors that associate with poor survival rate of patients with gastric cancer. Eligible cases were selected by using standardized search protocols: formal computer searches of all patients seen at out-patient clinic and/or hospitalized for gastric cancer between 2010 and 2014.Two physicians, who were informed the definition of each variable, individually reviewed chart of patients.

This is a laboratory-based, exploratory study using tissue obtained from our clinical practice. Extracapsular lymph node involvement (ECLNI) has been identified as a pathological variable associated with worse outcome in esophageal, gastric and colorectal cancer. No studies so far have studied its prognostic impact in ductal pancreatic adenocarcinoma (DPAC). The goal of the investigators is to determine the prognostic value of ECLNI in a prospective consecutive series of 145 patients with DPAC, who underwent resection of their primary tumor between 1998 and 2005.
