To evaluate over a period of 6 months the safety and the treatment satisfaction of newly prescribed levocetirizine in patients of age ≥ 2 years with persistent allergic rhinitis.

Seasonal allergic rhinitis has multiple consequences: sleep disturbances, fatigue, depressed mood, impaired quality of life and productivity, and co-morbid conditions such as asthma, which affects one third of AR patients. In Europe, more than 150 million people suffer from allergic rhinitis and more than 25 million suffer from asthma. About 30% have uncontrolled rhinitis during exposure to allergens. The impact of allergic diseases on work productivity is estimated to be between 30 and 50 billion € per year in the EU. Studies show that pollution can play a role in the amplification of the response to inhaled pollen allergens by inducing morphological and functional modifications of nasal and bronchial epithelia, but also by inducing structural modifications of allergenic molecules. However, although data show that the symptoms of AR are aggravated by exposure to air pollution, this effect is not observed for all pollens. The study area is very exposed to pollens (with a significant presence of cypress pollen) and air pollution, and presents a prevalence of asthma of 17% while the national average is about 7%. The aim of this study is to establish, if they exist, links between pollens of various species, air pollution and symptoms of allergic rhinitis. The knowledge of these links will allow public authorities to set up prevention actions, and patients to better manage their allergic rhinitis on a daily basis.

Re-evaluation of patients treated with intralymphatic immunotherapy (ILIT) in terms of quality of life and therapeutic efficacy and comparison with subcutaneous immunotherapy (SCIT) 15 years post immunotherapy

The aim of the study is to investigate the long-term effect of a lozenge containing beta-lactoglobulin (BLG), iron, retinoic acid, zinc and polyphenols (holo-BLG) in people with allergic rhinoconjunctivitis caused by house dust mites and the associated symptoms (symptom type and severity) during exposure to house dust mites in an Allergen Exposure Chamber (AEC). In particular, the study aims to evaluate whether the improvements in symptoms of house dust mite-induced rhinoconjunctivitis observed after 3 months of supplementation with holo-BLG can still be detected 7 to 8 months after the last intake.

In this study, researchers were primarily interested in evaluating the level of agreement of cooling sensation provided by this chewable, flavored, allergy medicine. Participants joining this study received one test drug tablet and were asked to chew completely before swallowing the drug. A questionnaire was used to collect the feedback from participants. The study involved only one (1) visit and participant stayed in this study for about 60-75 minutes to evaluate the cooling sensation as well as other sensory attributes perceived in the mouth, nose and throat.

Testing of a new ready-to-use Tape in comparison to the currently used skin prick test for the diagnosis of allergies. Assessment of clinical equivalence of the SPT Tape for representative common inhalant allergens to conventional SPT in terms of wheal reaction positivity and overall safety. Tests are performed in patients who have a medical history of relevant allergic rhinitis to any of the tested allergens.

After an allergen challenge, the allergic inflammatory response disappears spontaneously. The initiation of the resolution of the inflammatory response is now recognized as a dynamic process, involving active biochemical programs that enable inflamed tissues to return to homeostasis. Recent data established key roles of different specific lipid mediators in the endogenous counter-regulation of inflammation and activation of resolution. Only little is known about kinetics of these specialized pro-resolving lipid mediators during acute allergic inflammation. Therefore, the primary propose of our study is to characterize the temporal evolution of cellular inflammation and specific lipid mediators after allergen challenge.

This study will evaluate whether exhaled nitric oxide levels are affected by allergen immunotherapy ("allergy shots"). The investigators' hypothesis is that successful allergen immunotherapy may be accompanied by decreased exhaled nitric oxide levels.

This study will be a prospective observational study of "real world" BDP nasal aerosol users with PAR, with or without seasonal allergic rhinitis (SAR). Subjects will respond to monthly online surveys regarding rhinitis control, concomitant medical conditions, concomitant (non-AR) medications, current AR therapy, and adverse events.
