Autoimmune Features of Neurodegenerative Disorders
Parkinson DiseaseAlzheimer Disease1 moreThis study is being conducted to better understand the role of inflammation in Parkinson's disease (PD) and Alzheimer's disease (AD). The investigators plan to recruit 30 PD, 30 AD/Amnestic Mild Cognitive Impairment (aMCI), and 60 age matched healthy controls in this study to study the role of immune response in PD and AD. The study involves up to two study visits involving brief questionnaires and blood draw of up to 250cc (approximately 17 tablespoons) to be collected. More ways to participate, including 1) smaller amount blood donation (up to 100cc per visit for 1-2 visits); and 2) participation via tele-visit and mobile phlebotomy visits (blood donation up to 50cc, ~5 tubes, by a certified mobile phlebotomist at home/location of choice) now available.
The A-LIST WMM Insights Series
Alzheimer DiseaseDementia1 moreThe main purpose of the Study is to develop an understanding over time and through multiple research projects, including surveys, interviews, online focus groups, and other primary research methodologies (A-LIST Research Projects) on what matters most to individuals concerned about brain health and those with and/or affected by Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, including caregivers.
PUMCH Dementia Longitudinal Cohort Study
DementiaDementia8 moreThe PUMCH Dementia Cohort is a hospital-based, observational study of Chinese elderly with cognitive impairment.

Prodromal Alzheimer's DiseaseMild Cognitive ImpairmentA longitudinal observational neuroimaging study of individuals with Early Onset Alzheimer's disease during the prodromal phase, and matched control group - Ultrahigh Field MRI study at 7T
Optina Diagnostics' Cerebral ß-Amyloid Status (CAS) Test
Alzheimer DiseaseMild Cognitive Impairment1 moreThis observational, cross-sectional study is designed to validate a novel diagnostic test for the detection of phenotypic changes in the retina that correlate with likely PET amyloid status (negative or positive), to aid in the evaluation of adult patients with cognitive impairment who are being evaluated for Alzheimer's disease and other causes of cognitive decline. The CAS test is an adjunct to other diagnostic evaluations, and is indicated for use with the Optina Diagnostics' MHRC (K200254).
Clinical Applicantion of Multi-Tracer PET/MR Imaging in Neurological Disorders/Disease
Alzheimer DiseaseParkinson Disease2 moreThe goal of this clinical trial is to learn about the application of domestic PET/MR in major brain diseases. The main questions it aims to answer are: Overcome the bottleneck of early accurate diagnosis and treatment in major brain diseases clinical practice. Promote the clinical application of domestic PET/MR, enhance international competitiveness. Participants will have a PET/MR scan of the brain.
Impact of Therapeutic Plasma Exchange on RNA Biomarker Expression Levels in Alzheimer's Patients...
Alzheimer DiseaseThe study will determine if Therapeutic Plasma Exchange removes RNA biomarkers associated with Alzheimer's Disease and how quickly those biomarkers reappear after treatment.
Early Diagnosis of SCD Based on Radiogenomics
Alzheimer DiseaseSubjective Cognitive Decline2 moreThe incidence of AD dementia is increasing due to the aging population, putting a heavy burden on our society and economics. Exploring the mechanisms underlying SCD due to preclinical AD has scientific and clinical significance. However, it is challenging to construct and validate the preclinical diagnosis model of AD with fused multimodel information across culture/race. From the cooperation during the past five years, we have established cohorts by synchronized assessment, achieved consensus on SCD features extraction and made a breakthrough in the application of multiple parameter MRI with German collaborators. Therefore, in this project, SCD with and without amyloid pathology will be compared by clinical and cognitive data, genetics, blood and MRI biomarkers between the German and Chinese. Key features will be extracted and specific characteristics of SCD due to preclinical AD as well as risk factors for conversion between two countries will be clarified. Then the diagnosis model of preclinical AD in SCD will be established across culture/race based on radiogenomics, which will improve the current diagnostic system of AD. Through this project, the value of SCD in the etiologic, anatomical and quantitative diagnosis of preclinical AD will be identified to improve sensitivity and specificity of preclinical AD diagnosis in clinical practice.
Genetic Studies in Familial Dementia
Dementia of Alzheimer TypeAlzheimer Disease5 moreThe purpose of this study is to identify genetic factors that contribute to or cause dementia (loss of memory) and related disorders across all ages and ethnic groups. This includes a number of neurological diseases such as early and late-onset Alzheimer disease, mild cognitive impairment, and other dementias.
Neuroimaging in Healthy Aging and Senile Dementia (HASD_IND)
