VisuMax Femtosecond Laser Small Incision Lenticule Extraction for the Correction of High Myopia...
MyopiaRefractive ErrorsThe purpose of this study is to validate the safety and effectiveness of treating myopia (short-sightedness) higher than -10D using small incision lenticule extraction (SMILE) with the VisuMax femtosecond laser.
Repeated Low-Level Red-Light Therapy and Orthokeratology in Fast-progressing Myopia Control
MyopiaProgressive2 moreThe purpose of this multicenter randomized clinical trial is to evaluate the adjunctive effect of repeated low-level red-light therapy (RLRL) and orthokeratology (ortho-k) on myopia control in ortho-k non-responders who have undergone ortho-k treatment but were still experiencing fast myopia progression.
Intrastromal Correction of Ametropia by a Femtosecond Laser
PresbyopiaMyopia2 moreThis study evaluates the intrastromal correction of ametropia with a femtosecond laser made by 20/10 PERFECT VISION. This laser generates a beam of ultrashort, infrared pulses which enables very precise cuts in the cornea. By these cuts lamellae of the cornea are separated locally, and in the consequence the curvature of the cornea is changed, and the correction of the diagnosed ametropia can be achieved. On the contrary to cuts which are generated with a sharp knife, the cuts generated when using a laser can be generated just inside the cornea without opening the surface of the cornea. This means the procedure is minimal-invasive. The study hypothesis is: Different types of ametropia can be corrected safely and on long-term by intrastromal cuts.
First-Sight Refractive Error Correction: Direct Comparison to Autorefraction Results in Children...
Refractive ErrorProof of concept study to compare the best corrected visual acuity obtained via First-Sight lenses with the autorefraction in children.
Study to Evaluate the Clinical Performance of SynergEyes A2 Hybrid Contact Lenses
Refractive ErrorsAstigmatismThis is a multicenter study to evaluate the clinical performance of the SynergEyes A2 lens in patients with refractive errors with or without astigmatism.
Piggyback Sulcoflex Toric IOL for Correcting Refractive Error Following Corneal Transplantation...
Refractive ErrorCorneal Implantation1 moreA prospective study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of a piggyback sulcoflex toric intraocular lens in pseudophakic patients for correcting refractive errors following corneal transplantation
Effects of Optical Blur on Performance and Comfort of Computer Users
Refractive ErrorThe aim of this study is to examine the relationship between optical blur from poor refractive corrections (glasses) of workers using computers and their productivity and comfort in the workplace. We believe that improving the visual status of subjects who use computers will have a beneficial effect on productivity and visual comfort.
Corneal Staining Associated With Daily Disposable Beauty Contact Lenses
Refractive ErrorLimbal ring contact lenses enhance the look of the eye by adding pigmentation in a ring pattern to the contact lens. The purpose of this investigation is to determine if corneal staining increase is dependent upon the lens pigment location.
Corneal Flap Thickness Planed vs Measured After LASIK by Using Tree Different Systems Cut
Refractive ErrorsDetermine the flap thickness created by femtosecond laser or a mechanical microkeratome using in vivo confocal microscopy and compare measured versus intended flap thickness.
Evaluation of Progression of Myopia in Children Treated With Vitamin B2 and Outdoor Sunlight Exposure...
Axial MyopiaRefractive ErrorsThe investigators plan on using riboflavin (a Vitamin that can easily be taken orally each day) and having the children involved in the study play outside (where there is UV light created by the sun) in order to prevent the eye from becoming progressively more near-sighted.
