Bifocal Lenses In Nearsighted Kids

Refractive Errors

This study will evaluate the use of two different bifocal contact lens add powers to prevent further nearsighted progression in children ages 7 to 11 years old. It is theorized that the profile of the bifocal lenses will decrease the amount of change in nearsightedness that the children experience.

Effects of Different Add Powers on the Comfort and Productivity of Computer Users With Fixed or...

Refractive ErrorsAsthenopia

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between optical blur from poor refractive corrections (glasses) of older workers using computers and their productivity and comfort in the workplace. The investigators believe that improving the visual status of subjects who use computers will have a beneficial effect on productivity and visual comfort.

Myopia Control With Three Lever Irradiance of PBM Therapy in Children and Adults

MyopiaAmblyopia2 more

Photobiomodulation therapy, that is, Low-level red-light technology provides a new and innovative myopia control approach. This strategy enables relatively high energies of light to be delivered at much shorter durations of exposure to induce the myopia control effect. The efficacy of the low-level red-light technology has been proven in a Chinese populationb for the recent 3 years with evidence based papers and amazing results. However, there's not yet evidence to demonstrate the relationship between the dose response effect of photobiomodulation therapy on myopia control at the different age lever.

Trifocal Diffractive Intraocular Lens After Cataract Extraction With Phacoemulsification

Refractive Errors

Multifocal IOLs that maintain distance focus and improve near vision have been developed to reduce spectacle dependence.Multifocal IOLs improve patient performance of near-vision tasks, such as reading crafts, hobbies, and social activities to a greater extent than do monofocal IOLs. However, halos and reduced contrast sensitivity have been associated with multifocal IOLs and are common reasons for patient's dissatisfaction.Trifocal technology has been developed to create intermediate focus to overcome these difficulties. Continuous reports of the visual outcomes of the FineVision trifocal IOLs are encouraging.

Photorefractive Intrastromal Corneal Crosslinking as a Treatment for Low Grade Myopia

MyopiaCorneal Crosslinking2 more

To assess the improvement in refractive error and the corneal endothelial safety with a customized corneal crosslinking treatment regimen for low grade myopia. The study compares two treatment protocols, a 4.0-mm central ring-shaped zone with a 3.5-mm central ring-shaped zone in high oxygen environment without corneal epithelial debridement.
