This research is a preliminary, randomized, double blind clinical trial, which will examine the differences in PRP preparation methods, a single-spin centrifugation of 3000 rpm in 15 minutes compared to a double-spin centrifugation of 1500 rpm in 6 minutes followed by 2500 rpm in 15 minutes, on the results of Thrombocyte Concentration and Clinical Improvement of Androgenetic Alopecia.

This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of photobiomodulation therapy (PBM) in the prevention and management of chemotherapy-induced alopecia (CIA). Therefore, we hypothesize that PBMT can reduce the severity of CIA in gynecological and breast cancer patients, increasing the patient's QoL.

The prevention of chemotherapy-induced alopecia (CIA) is still imperfectly managed in France. Strengthening the evidence base on the benefits of strategies to prevent CIA, based on robust methodologies, remains a prerequisite for better integration of appropriate supportive care for patients receiving chemotherapy. This research should provide new knowledge on the benefits of scalp refrigeration during anthracycline- and taxane-based chemotherapy in preventing ACI, for each of the 2 refrigeration techniques. In addition to effectiveness in preventing ACI, quality of life, self-image and satisfaction with care will be assessed by patients during and after chemotherapy. The medico-economic aspects will also be assessed for each of the two refrigeration modalities. The results of the various proposed assessments will be used to guide the choice between these two techniques for preventing ACI.

Phototherapy, including ultraviolet B (UVB) and ultraviolet A (UVA) light, has been used to treat a number of dermatologic conditions. Psoriasis is one of the most common conditions treated with phototherapy, in which phototherapy is often indicated for extensive disease with contraindications for other systemic treatments. The mechanism of action of phototherapy for the treatment of psoriasis is not completely understood; however, it is known that UVB light induces apoptosis of pathogenic T cells and keratinocytes, which may reduce the overactive immune response and epidermal hyperproliferation. Phototherapy has shown some efficacy for other diseases, such as alopecia areata (AA) and polymorphous light eruption (PMLE). However, phototherapy is not always an accessible treatment option for patients due to cost or lack of time.

This is an interventional pilot study assessing the tolerability of needle-free delivery administration of ILTA with the Med-Jet as an alternative to conventional syringe and needle in patients with patchy pediatric alopecia areata. There will be a total of four (4) or five (5) visits necessary for study participation. The investigators hypothesize that the Med-Jet will have acceptable pain tolerability, efficacy, safety, and a positive impact on patient quality of life.

This study is being done to see if the Paxman scalp cooling device can prevent hair loss in pediatric patients receiving chemotherapy for non-cancerous conditions or solid tumors. Primary Objective To assess the safety and feasibility of the use of a scalp cooling device in pediatric and young adult patients receiving chemotherapy for non-malignant conditions and solid tumors. Exploratory Objectives To assess the incidence and intensity of chemotherapy induced hair loss in patients receiving chemotherapy for non-malignant conditions and solid tumors who have used a scalp cooling device.
