A Study of Intermittent Oral Dosing of ASP1517 in Non-Dialysis Chronic Kidney Disease Patients With...

Chronic Kidney Disease

The objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of ASP1517 when converted from recombinant human erythropoietin (rHuEPO) or darbepoetin alfa (DA), compared to DA in the treatment of anemia in non-dialysis chronic kidney disease patients. Another uncontrolled cohort will be included to evaluate the efficacy and safety of ASP1517 in patients converted from epoetin beta pegol (CERA). This study will also assess the safety/efficacy of long term treatment of ASP1517 (52 weeks).

Evaluating the Interest of Interleukine-2 for Patients With Active Warm Hemolytic Anemia Resistant...

Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia

The investigators have demonstrated that the mean percentage of circulating CD8+ regulatory T (CD8 Tregs) cells is significantly higher in patients with warm hemolytic anemia (wAHAI) in remission than in controls and is correlated to hemoglobin levels. In vitro, low dose of interleukine-2 (IL2) induce the expansion of CD8 Tregs. The objective is to demonstrate that, over a 9 week treatment period; low doses of IL2 can induce the expansion of CD8Tregs in patients with active wAHAI.

Switch From Oral Iron to Intravenous Ferric Carboxymaltose in Non-dialysis Chronic Kidney Disease...

Iron DeficiencyAnaemia

Investigation whether a switch from oral iron to intravenous ferric carboxymaltose can reduce dose requirements of erythropoiesis-stimulating agents (ESA) and improve Hb levels and iron status in adult patients with non-dialysis-dependent CKD who were on a stable ESA/oral iron schedule for 6 months prior to enrolment.

Maintenance Treatment of Renal Anemia in Dialysis Subjects

AnemiaRenal Insufficiency1 more

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of molidustat in comparison to darbepoetin alfa in dialysis subjects with renal anemia who are treated with Erythropoiesis-Stimulating Agents (ESAs).

An Efficacy and Safety Study of Luspatercept (ACE-536) for the Treatment of Anemia Due to IPSS-R...

Myelodysplastic Syndromes

The study will be conducted in compliance with the International Council for Harmonisation (ICH) of Technical Requirements for Registration of Pharmaceuticals for Human Use/Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and applicable regulatory requirements. This is a Phase 2, multicenter, single-arm study to evaluate the efficacy, safety and Pharmacokinetics (PK) of luspatercept (ACE-536) for the treatment of anemia due to International prognostic scoring system-Revised (IPSS-R) very low, low or intermediate risk Myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS)in Japanese subjects who are not requiring Red blood cell (RBC) transfusion. The study is divided into the Screening Period, a Treatment Period and a Post-Treatment Follow up Period.

Different Treatment Modalities in the Management of the Painful Crisis in Pediatric Sickle- Cell...

Vaso-occlusive CrisisSickle Cell Disease1 more

The aim of the present study is comparing the effectiveness of different treatment regimens for investigating the therapeutic potential for each one in management of Vaso-occlusive pain in pediatric sickle cell disease. In addition, investigators apply the Cost-effectiveness analysis (CEA) as a form of economic analysis that compares the relative costs and outcomes (effects) for different treatment regimens on vaso-occlusive painful crisis.
