Clinical Study of the TriVascular Ovation™ Abdominal Stent Graft System

Aortic AneurysmAbdominal

The primary objectives of this study are to determine whether the Ovation Abdominal Stent Graft System is a safe and effective method of treating abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA's) in those patients considered to be suitable candidates for open surgical repair.

Feasibility Study of the LVIS™ (Low-profile Visualized Intraluminal Support)Device

Intracranial Aneurysms

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and probable benefit of the Low-profile Visualized Intraluminal Support (LVIS™ and LVIS™ Jr.)devices from MicroVention, Inc. when used to facilitate endovascular coiling of unruptured wide-neck intracranial aneurysms with bare platinum embolization coils.

The Reverse Barrel™ VRD Intracranial Aneurysm Trial

Intracranial Aneurysms

The purpose of this clinical investigation is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the Barrel™ VRD when used to facilitate endovascular coiling of wide-neck bifurcating or branch intracranial aneurysms with any approved embolic coils.

Efficiency of Two Glucose Sampling Protocols for Maintenance of Euglycemia

Brain NeoplasmsIntracranial Aneurysm

What is the efficacy and safety of q 30 minutes vs. q 1hour glucose sampling and intervention for an intensive insulin protocol to achieve and maintain euglycemia in non-diabetic patients undergoing craniotomy? The investigators hypothesize that in non-diabetic patients undergoing craniotomy, monitoring glucose and modifying insulin infusions every 30 minutes compared to every hour will help them reach target glucose levels faster and maintain them more efficiently with the same insulin protocol.

Prospective Aneurysm Trial: High Angle Aorfix™ Bifurcated Stent Graft

Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms

Purpose of this study: The purpose of the study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the Lombard Medical endovascular Aorfix™ AAA bifurcated stent graft in the treatment of abdominal aortic, aorto-iliac and common iliac aneurysms with anatomies including angled aorta, angled aneurysmal body, or both, between 0° and 90°. Study hypothesis: The primary efficacy hypothesis is the proportion of grafts remaining free from endoleak, migration, and fracture at 12 months. Efficacy: The 12 month, all cause mortality rate in the Aorfix™ group will be non-inferior to the 12 month, all cause mortality rate in the Open Control group. Safety: The rates of early serious adverse events between 0 and 30 days post-operative in the Aorfix™ groups will be non-inferior to the early serious adverse event rates between 0 and 30 days post-operative in the Open Control group.

MAPS Trial: Matrix And Platinum Science

Intracranial Aneurysms

Primary Objectives: To establish Target Aneurysm Recurrence (TAR) rates for Matrix 2® and GDC® Coils used for the treatment of intracranial saccular aneurysms. TAR is defined as clinically relevant recurrence resulting in: target aneurysm reintervention, rupture/re-rupture and/or death from an unknown cause. To correlate defined angiographic endpoints with TAR rates and assess their predictive value, thereby providing a framework to establish clinically relevant endpoints for future studies. Secondary Objectives: To evaluate device characteristics, incidence and severity of device-related adverse events, including death, neurological deterioration and changes in functional abilities. To establish angiographic recurrence rates for Matrix 2® and GDC® Coils used for the treatment of intracranial saccular aneurysms. To explore an experimental, quantitative and volumetric endpoint and correlate these with existing qualitative assessments.

ARBITER-II: Aorfix™ Bifurcated Safety and Performance Trial: Phase II, Angulated Vessels

Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm

To assess the safety and performance of Aorfix™ Stent Grafts in the treatment of Abdominal Aortic and Aorto-Iliac Aneurysm where a significant degree of vessel angulation exists at the neck of the aneurysm or in the common iliac arteries.

The Pivotal Study of the Aptus Endovascular AAA Repair System

Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms (AAA)

A prospective, non-randomized, multi-center clinical study to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the Aptus Endovascular AAA Repair System compared to an open surgical repair historical control group in the treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA).

VALOR: The Talent Thoracic Stent Graft System Clinical Study

Thoracic Aortic Aneurysms

A Descending Thoracic Aneurysm is a bulge in the aorta. The aorta is a large blood vessel that carries blood away from your heart to organs in the rest of your body. Your aneurysm is caused by a weakening in the artery wall. If left untreated, this bulge may continue to grow larger and may ultimately rupture (break open) or extend in size to seriously affect other major arteries in the area. In this Research Study a device will be placed inside your aorta to block the weakened part of the artery wall from the circulatory system. Information will be collected on the performance for the device for 5 years.
