The RISE Trial: A Randomized Trial on Intra-Saccular Endobridge Devices
Intracranial AneurysmBrain Aneurysm3 moreIntracranial bifurcation aneurysms are commonly repaired with surgical and with endovascular techniques. Wide-necked bifurcation aneurysms (WNBA) are a difficult subset of aneurysms to successfully repair endovascularly, and a number of treatment adjuncts have been designed. One particularly promising innovation is the WEB (Woven EndoBridge), which permits placement of an intra-saccular flow diverting mesh across the aneurysm neck, but which does not require anti-platelet agent therapy. Currently, which treatment option leads to the best outcome for patients with WNBA remains unknown. There is a need to offer treatment with the WEB within the context of a randomized care trial, to patients currently presenting with aneurysms thought to be suitable for the WEB.
Renal Function After Stentgraft Treatment Of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm
Aortic AneurysmAbdominal2 moreThis randomized controlled trial aim to determine the impact on renal function after treatment for infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) with stentgrafts either with active supra- or infrarenal fixation.
Outcome and Prognostic Factors of Surgical Management of Scalp AVMs.
Cirsoid AneurysmScalp arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rarely encountered vascular scalp anomalies that represent 8% of all AVMs. Different terms are being used to describe the vascular anomalies of the scalp include cirsoid aneurysm, racemosum aneurysm, plexiform angioma, arteriovenous fistula and arteriovenous malformation. Derived from the Greek language, kirsos, the term cirsoid aneurysm is used to describe the AVM as it resembles varix. Case studies reported approximately 200 cases with increased prevalence during the last 15 years. The etiology of scalp AVMs remains controversial, it can be spontaneous or traumatic. They generally develop in the trauma background and in patients over 30-year-old while spontaneous scalp AVM may present at birth and remains asymptomatic until adulthood.
International Subarachnoid Aneurysm Trial II
Intracranial Hemorrhage Ruptured AneurysmThe purpose of this study is to compare the clinical outcome of surgical clipping and endovascular coiling for ruptured intracranial aneurysms not included in the original ISAT Study.

NEXUS Aortic Arch Clinical Study to Evaluate Safety and Effectiveness
Aortic DissectionAortic Aneurysm2 moreProspective, non-randomized, multi-center clinical investigation of the NEXUS™ Aortic Arch Stent Graft System (NEXUSTM) for the treatment of thoracic aortic lesions involving the aortic arch with a proximal landing zone, native or previously implanted surgical graft, in the ascending aorta and with a brachiocephalic trunk native landing zone.
Structured Exercise Programme and Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Surgery
Abdominal Aortic AneurysmThere is a relationship between aerobic fitness and survival both with and without surgery. Some patients can improve their aerobic fitness with a structured exercise programme but currently it is not know how much this could change predicted survival for patients with an abdominal aortic aneurysm, or how long this change can be maintained. Survival can be predicted after planned abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) surgery using physical fitness measured with a cardiopulmonary exercise test. The researchers have validated this in a published peer reviewed multicentre study. In this study the patient's fitness will be measured before and after a structured exercise programme and assess if there is any change in their predicted survival. The primary objective of the study is to measure the change in predicted survival for abdominal aortic aneurysm surgery after a structured exercise programme. In addition the patients are asked to complete the following questionnaires:- EQ-5D-5L, Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) before and after the exercise programme.

Enhanced Versus Standard Blood Pressure Lowering on Intracranial Aneurysm Rupture or Growth China...
Unruptured Intracranial AneurysmThe goal of this randomized controlled trial is to evaluate the benefits and safety of controlled hypotension in Chinese patients with unruptured intracranial aneurysms(UIA). The main questions it aims to answer are: To provide high-level evidence of the benefits and safety of controlled hypotension in patients with UIA. To provide evidence-based medical evidence for blood pressure control of patients with UIA in neurosurgery, and promote the progress of accurate individual management of patients. In this study, the main intervention is enhanced blood pressure lowering in patients with UIA. All Patients will be randomly assigned to either the standard blood pressure lowering (SBPL) group or the enhanced blood pressure lowering (EBPL) group.
Metformin for Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Growth Inhibition
Abdominal Aortic AneurysmA multi-centre population-based open-label randomized controlled trial with allocation concealment and blinded outcome assessment will examine if up to 2g metformin daily slows AAA growth in patients with small AAAs who do not have diabetes.
