Medina Embolization Device In Neurovascular Aneurysm Study
Intracranial AneurysmA global prospective, multi-center, single-arm, post-market clinical follow-up (PMCF) study conducted to assess the performance of the Medina Embolization Device when used in unruptured and ruptured intracranial aneurysms.
Targeted PET/CT and PET/MRI Imaging of Vascular Inflammation
Aortic AneurysmAbdominal1 moreStroke and abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAAs) are common and highly lethal vascular diseases. Angiogenesis and infiltration of inflammatory cells such as macrophages may cause stroke and AAAs. The purpose of this study is to test PET/CT and PET/MRI imaging to specifically detect those diseases using a new developed agent (18F-FPPRGD2) that can target angiogenesis and macrophages.
Vascutek Anaconda™ Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) Post-Market Surveillance Registry
Abdominal Aortic AneurysmThe purpose of this observational Post-Market Surveillance Registry is to gather post-market data on the performance of the CE marked Vascutek Anaconda™ Stent Graft System for the repair of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms (AAA). The Study population consists of patients suitable for endovascular repair of AAA. Patients will be followed at 1, 3, 6, 12, 18, 24, 36, 48 and 60 months post-implantation.
Zenith® LP Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) Post-Market Registry
Abdominal Aortic AneurysmAorto-iliac AneurysmA registry to collect additional prospective intra-operative and follow-up information on physician use of the CE-marked Zenith® Low Profile Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) Endovascular Graft under routine clinical care.
VALIANT CAPTIVIA Post-market Registry
Aortic AneurysmThoracicThe Valiant Thoracic Stent Graft has been preloaded on the new Captivia Delivery System (Captivia). This new delivery system was CE marked on September 14th, 2009 and was commercially released in the European Union on October 1st, 2009. The Valiant Thoracic Stent Graft with the Captivia Delivery System (Valiant Captivia) is designed to treat diseases of the descending thoracic aorta including but not limited to aneurysms and dissections. The purpose of the VALIANT CAPTIVIA Registry is to collect and evaluate mid term clinical performance data of the Valiant Captivia Thoracic Stent Graft System following OUS market approval.
Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms and Pseudoexfoliation Syndrome
Abdominal Aortic AneurysmsPseudoexfoliation Syndrome1 moreConflicting results have been reported concerning the association of pseudoexfoliation syndrome (PXF) and abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA). Schumacher et al. reported an association between AAA and PXF, with no consideration of grade. However, a later study did not confirm the association between AAA and PXF. The present study aimed at comparing the relative prevalence of PXF in patients suffering from AAA and in age-matched hypertensive patients.
Effect of Intraventricular tPA Following Aneurysmal Subarachnoid Hemorrhage
Subarachnoid HemorrhageCerebral Vasospasm2 moreThis study will evaluate the hypothesis that the administration of intraventricular tPA reduces the rates of cerebral vasospasm and ventriculoperitoneal shunt-dependent hydrocephalus in patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage.
Intracranial Aneurysms and Cognitive Function
Intracranial AneurysmsThe prevalence rate of intracranial aneurysms in the adult population is close to 5%. Rupture risk of such aneurysms causing subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) can be substantial. Most patients suffering from an aneurysmal SAH are in their mid life, i.e., 30 to 60 years old. Aneurysmal SAH may cause disability and mortality. The present study includes a follow-up study and a cross-sectional fMRI study. The purpose of the follow-up study is to monitor patients receiving prophylactic surgical treatment of their un-ruptured aneurysms to examine whether such treatment is associated with cognitive, psychosocial and/or neurologic sequela. The purpose of the cross-sectional fMRI study is to examine the relationship between memory function and brain activity among SAH patients. Memory impairment is often found among aneurysmal SAH patients. Using fMRI can possibly shed some light on whether such memory impairment may be caused by diffuse cerebral damage or a focal damage at the aneurysm site.
Talent Converter Post-Approval Study
Abdominal Aortic AneurysmsThe primary endpoint is successful secondary endovascular treatment with the Talent Converter stent graft of subjects having received prior endovascular repair of infrarenal abdominal aortic or aortoiliac aneurysms using the Talent or AneuRx Bifurcated Stent Grafts, in which there is inadequate proximal fixation, seal, overlapping of modular components or unattainable contralateral limb cannulation. Treatment success is defined as a composite of successful vessel access, successful insertion of the delivery system, successful deployment of the Converter stent graft at the intended treatment site and absence of Type I endoleak at the 1 month follow-up visit.
Analysis Of Intracranial Artery Lesions Using 2-D/3D Phase Contrast MR
Intracranial Arterial AneurysmUsing phase contrast MR Angiography with NOVA® Software, this study intends to identify, evaluate and map intracranial aneurysm development as well as develope a predicator for future morphological changes of aneurysms and possible risk of future rupture.
