Vascular Inflammation Imaging Using Somatostatin Receptor Positron Emission Tomography
AtherosclerosisStroke3 moreThis VISION study aims to investigate the role of inflammation in atherosclerosis using 68Ga- DOTATATE PET, and to validate 68Ga-DOTATATE PET imaging for the detection and quantification of vascular inflammation in the aorta, coronary and carotid arteries. This study will test the hypothesis that in subjects undergoing carotid endarterectomy for symptomatic plaques, there will be a positive correlation between carotid artery 68Ga-DOTATATE PET signal and the underlying degree of carotid inflammation measured by immunohistochemical analysis.
MYocardial DAmage AND MIcrobiota STUDY
Chronic Stable AnginaPeriprocedural Myocardial DamageMYDA-MI study is a randomized, placebo controlled, double blind study performed in San Filippo Neri Hospital, Roma, Italy. The planned study duration is 18 months. The objectives are to assess the effects of pre-treatment with probiotic Ecoviesel on the incidence and magnitude of peri-procedural myocardial damage caused by coronary angioplasty in stable patients. 250 patients with chronic stable angina scheduled for a coronary angiography and possible ad hoc angioplasty will be randomized to receive pre-treatment with Ecoviesel sachets (each sachet contains 200 billions bacteria) or Placebo. The pre-treatment dosage will be 4 sachets of probiotic Ecoviesel or placebo for at least 2 weeks before the planned procedure. In patients undergoing angioplasty the same treatment will be continued for 4 weeks after PCI with secondary outcome measures performed at the end of this second stage.
Myocardial Damage and Music Study
Chronic Stable AnginaPTCAMYDA-MUSIC study is a randomized, double blind (operator and analyst) study performed in San Filippo Neri Hospital, Roma, Italy and in Di Venere Hospital, Bari, Italy. The planned study duration is 12 months. The objectives are to assess the effects of heart-rate-variability based music on the incidence and magnitude of peri-procedural myocardial damage caused by coronary angioplasty in stable patients. 443 patients with chronic stable angina scheduled for a coronary angiography and possible ad hoc angioplasty will be randomized to receive music or dumb earphones.
Comparison of Left and Right Transradial Approach for CAG and PCI
Coronary Artery DiseaseStable Angina4 moreThis trial will compare the procedural success rate between right and left radial approach in patients undergoing coronary angiography and coronary intervention.
Azilsartan Medoxomil in Hypertensive pAtients With Stable Ischemic Heart Disease and DiabEtes MEllitus....
Arterial HypertensionDiabetes Mellitus1 moreOne-center, observational, non-interventional, prospective study of the efficacy of azilsartan medoxomil in patients with arterial hypertension associated with stable ischemic heart disease and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Utilisation of Angiox® in European Practice
Stable Angina (SA)NSTE-ACS (NSTEMI and UA)1 moreThe objective of this study is to determine utilisation patterns in patients receiving Angiox® in participating European centres. Additionally, through the collection of descriptive safety and outcomes data, this study will contribute to the Risk Management strategy for Europe
Evaluation and Comparison of Several Point-of-care Platelet Function Tests in Predicting Clinical...
Stable Angina PectorisThe purpose of this study is to investigate whether the level of Platelet Inhibition as assessed with five point-of-care platelet function assays correlates with clinical (periprocedural) outcomes such as Acute Myocardial Infarction, death, Target Vessel revascularization and/or stroke in patients undergoing elective PCI.
Association Between Inflammatory Biomarkers and LV Function in Patients With CVD
Stable AnginaHeart FailureThe association of novel inflammatory biomarkers with cardiovascular diseases is still obscure. The present study aimed to investigate the relationship of various inflammatory biomarkers with the existence as well as the extent of heart failure (HF) and coronary artery disease (CAD), suggesting a link between inflammation and cardiovascular diseases and all-cause 30- and -90 day of hospital readmission. Methods: We enrolled a total of 120 patients with HF, asymptomatic CAD and 60 healthy controls (HC) without cardiovascular diseases.
Vitamin E and N-acetylcysteine for Preventing Contrast-Induced Acute Kidney Injury After Coronary...
Coronary Artery DiseaseCoronary Artery Angiography4 moreIn a double-blinded randomized clinical trial, all patients undergoing coronary artery catheterization who will met our criteria, will be enrolled into three groups to receive either, vitamin e, n-acetylcysteine, or placebo. The aim of study will be to compare the superiority of vitamin e over n-acetylcysteine for the prevention of contrast-induced acute kidney injury (CIAKI).
Effect of Tertiary A-level Hospital Remote Intervention on MACCE, Adherence to Drugs and Risk Factors...
Stable Chronic AnginaIschemic Heart Disease1 moreThe study was a multicenter, two-arm, parallel, open label, prospective study intended for to compare effect of offline community hospital intervention on adherence to drugs and risk factors control in patients with stable coronary artery disease compared with tertiary A-level hospital WeChat-based intervention.
