Hereditary Angioedema Kininogen Assay
Hereditary AngioedemaA multicenter epidemiological observational study aiming to explore the cleaved high-molecular weight kininogen (cHMWK) including identification and characterization of other metabolite/biomarkers in HAE type 1/2 patients
The Efficacy of a Pseudoallergen-Free Diet in the Treatment of Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria and/or...
UrticariaAngioedemaThis study involves investigating the effects of a pseudoallergen-free (active) diet compared with a control (placebo) diet in the treatment of Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria (CIU) and/or Angioedema. The hypothesis is that over a four-week intervention period, the pseudoallergen-free diet will be more effective than the placebo diet in reducing the frequency and severity of CIU and/or Angioedema.
Evaluation of Ecallantide for the Acute Treatment of Angiotensin Converting Enzyme Inhibitor Induced...
AngioedemaThe investigators will conduct a double-blind, randomized controlled trial comparing the safety and effectiveness of ecallantide to conventional therapy. A rescue cross-over design will be used such that patients failing to improve on standard therapy will additionally be treated with ecallantide. Therefore, a historical control cohort will be enrolled for analysis of secondary endpoints. In addition, since some patients treated with conventional therapy may improve rapidly and therefore not be eligible for inclusion in the study, the investigators will enroll these patients as an observational arm to enable the conduct of sensitivity analysis.
Evaluation of New Markers in Type 3 Angioedema
Angio EdemaAngioedema is a common condition, with multiple etiologies. Type 3 angioedema is caused by an increase in kininogenase activity responsible for an increased production of bradykinin. In some cases, it may be associated with clotting factor 12 mutations. However, other genetic abnormalities remain to be identified. Clinically, this angioedema type 3 is similar to types 1 and 2. The patient's vital prognosis is good if the diagnosis is made and if they have access to the appropriate treatment. Otherwise a significant morbidity is associated with it, hence the importance of being able to define a diagnostic marker. Videocapillaroscopy might be able to highlight abnormalities in the microcirculation of patients with a clinical display of angioedema. The purpose of this study is to highlight markers allowing to make an early diagnosis of angioedema. Functional analysis of factor XII in patients with symptoms of angioedema may be an interesting marker for diagnosis. Microcirculation abnormalities will also be evaluated by videocapillaroscopy, which may be another indicator of the disease.
A Study to Evaluate the Clinical Pharmacology and Safety of C1-esterase Inhibitor Administered by...
Hereditary Angioedema Types I and IIThe aim of the study is to assess what happens to C1-esterase inhibitor that is administered under the skin of subjects with hereditary angioedema. Three different dosing regimens of C1-esterase inhibitor will be assessed. Each subject will be assigned to receive 2 of the 3 dosing regimens, each for 4 weeks. The activity and concentration of C1-esterase inhibitor in the blood will be measured during each 4-week period. The study will also examine how well C1-esterase inhibitor administered under the skin is tolerated by the subjects.

Patient Registry Study of Berinert® in Normal Clinical Practice
Includes: Hereditary AngioedemaThe objective of this patient registry is to collect data on the safety of Berinert® in normal clinical practice in the United States. The patient registry will be maintained for a period of at least 3 years. The duration of individual patient participation will vary and is determined by the frequency of hereditary angioedema (HAE) attacks and the patient's need for Berinert® treatment.

A European Post-Authorisation Observational Study Of Patients With Hereditary Angioedema
Hereditary Angioedema (HAE)This observational (non-interventional) study is being conducted to characterize the safety and use of CINRYZE in routine clinical practice when administered for (1) routine prevention of angioedema attacks, (2) pre-procedure prevention of angioedema attacks, and/or (3) treatment of angioedema attacks.
Vitamin D Levels in Subjects With Chronic Urticaria and Angioedema
UrticariaAngioedemaThe objective of this study is to perform an exploratory analysis to determine if a possible relationship between vitamin D and chronic urticaria and/or angioedema exists. The study hypothesis is that vitamin D deficiency is associated with chronic urticaria and/or angioedema.
