In-patients with severe anorexia nervosa (AN) often drop out of treatment, because of ambivalence towards treatment and anxiety for weight gain. However, physical therapy has shown some positive effects on symptoms of AN. This study aims to investigate the feasibility of a randomized control trial (RCT) of a standardized physiotherapeutic program for patients with severe AN with compliance to nutritional therapy as the primary outcome measure.

Study to compare the effects of the investigational new drug (PF-06946860) and a placebo on appetite and to find out how participants with advanced cancer and anorexia feel after receiving repeated subcutaneous (SC-injected under the skin) doses.

The primary aim of this study is to assess the safety and tolerability of one 25 mg dose of psilocybin in participants with anorexia nervosa based on adverse events (AEs), changes in vital signs, electrocardiograms (ECGs) and clinical laboratory tests. The secondary objectives are to explore the efficacy of a single 25 mg dose of psilocybin on eating disorder symptoms and behaviors, body image, anxiety, food related obsessions and rituals, and body weight.

"Clinicians from the Maudsley (IoP, London, UK) have specifically tailored a cognitive remediation therapy (CRT) for treating Anorexia Nervosa (AN). It is an intensive manualised training cognitive therapy which addresses the difficulties in flexibility and holistic processing that have been incriminated in AN. CRT has been found to improve AN's neuropsychological functioning and short term outcome. To our knowledge, no French speaking country has tested its effectiveness. Moreover, the question whether it is efficient for both anorexic restrictive and anorexic binge-purging patients remains unanswered. The aim of the present study is to determine if CRT in AN adolescents and young adults has a favourable impact on cognitive functioning and clinical status. We will also explore whether the impact of CRT is similar in both anorexic restrictive and binge-purging subtypes. There will also be an Historical Control Group of patients, sixty, who received traditional medical interventions in a specialized inpatient unit for eating disorders (i.e., EVHAN study)."

This study will evaluate the effects of a novel, non-pharmacologic intervention for the prevention of deleterious changes in bone density and strength in adolescents with anorexia nervosa (AN), a disease commonly treated with extended periods of bed rest and immobilization. The primary focus of the trial is to conduct a prospective short-term intervention to prevent an uncoupling of bone turnover in inpatients hospitalized for AN, and to determine the long-term effects of a biomechanical intervention on skeletal health in ambulatory adolescents with AN.

This study will examine the effectiveness of inpatient treatment for anorexia nervosa versus a sequenced treatment that transitions from higher intensity inpatient care to lower intensity outpatient care.

This study will compare the effectiveness of two atypical antipsychotic medications, olanzapine and aripiprazole, in treating people with anorexia nervosa.

The investigators are investigating whether a hormone that is naturally produced by the human body, called testosterone, can help improve weight, disordered eating, depression, and anxiety. The investigators hypothesize that testosterone will be a novel and effective endocrine-targeted therapy for patients with anorexia nervosa.

This study will assess the behavioral effects of an amino acid mixture thought to influence serotonin function in individuals who have recovered from anorexia nervosa.
