Investigation of Myocardial Protection Level With Specific Cardioplegia Methods in Cardiac Surgery...

Bypass ComplicationCardioplegia Solution Adverse Reaction4 more

Investigating the myocardial effects of cold blood cardioplegia and del nido cardioplegia solution, which are routinely used in clinical practice, will contribute to the studies in the literature on the safety and efficacy of these two methods. For this purpose, patients with coronary artery disease that going to be Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) surgery will be classified within the scope of the SYNTAX score, the level of exposure to cardioplegia change in proportion to their score will be examined. Also, left ventricular muscle mass will be calculated in patients who will undergo Aortic Valve replacement (AVR) due to Aortic Stenosis, and myocardial protection level proportional to muscle mass will be examined, and cardioplegia efficiency will be compared.

Geriatric Evaluation to Predict Mortality and Functional Recovery After Trans Aortic Valve Implantation...

Symptomatic Aortic Stenosis

Transcutaneous trans-aortic valve replacement (TAVR) is now a common procedure to treat symptomatic aortic stenosis. Although as effective and safe as surgical aortic valve replacement, it is still restricted to high surgical risk patient who are frail. The aim of the TAVI-EVA is to identify geriatric biomarkers that may help to predict survival and functional recovery after TAVR

Burden Comorbidities and Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation

Symptomatic Severe Aortic Valve Stenosis in Older Patients

The aim of the study is to determine whether the burden of comorbidities measured by CIRS-G (Cumulative Illness Rate Scale) is associated with a non-amelioration of the health related quality of life measured by questionnaire called "SF-36", six months after a transcatheter aortic valve replacement in older patients. During the comprehensive geriatric assessment realized before the valve implantation, the following data are recorded and their impact of the health related quality of life will also be analysed: comorbidity, age, depression, functional status, the cognitive impairment and malnutrition.

The Role of Myocardial Fibrosis in Patients With Aortic Stenosis

Aortic Stenosis

Aortic stenosis is the most common adult valvular heart disease in the western world. Heart failure and sudden cardiac death are complications associated with aortic stenosis. In symptomatic individuals, valve replacement is often the only effective treatment. However, there are no good markers to identify patients who may benefit from early surgery before symptoms developed. The purpose of the study is to test the hypothesis that the presence heart muscle scarring on the cardiac magnetic resonance imaging may predict a worse outcome in patients with aortic stenosis, and thus may be helpful in identifying patients for early valve replacement.

RESPOND Post Market Study

Aortic Valve Stenosis

The purpose of the RESPOND post market study is to collect real world clinical and device performance outcomes data with the Lotus Valve System used in routine clinical practice to demonstrate that the commercially available Lotus Valve System is a safe and effective treatment for patients with severe calcific aortic stenosis.
