The Evaluation of Left Ventricular Systolic Function in Different Types of Ischemic Heart Disease...

Coronary Microvascular DysfunctionObstructive Coronary Heart Disease

The study was designed to evaluate the left ventricular longitudinal strain and strain rate assessed by 2D-STI in patients with coronary microvascular dysfunction (CMD) or obstructive coronary artery disease (CAD) , to investigate the effect of different types of ischemic heart disease on the LV systolic function, and to explore the value of LS on the diagnosis of coronary microvascular dysfunction.

Individualized Exercise Training Based on the Heart Rate Variability in Coronary Heart Disease Patient...

Coronary Artery Disease

The objective of this project is to assess the effectiveness of a new modality of prescribing the intensity of physical exercise in cardiovascular rehabilitation programs according to physiological criteria (heart rate variability measured every morning) in comparison to a standard non-individualized program.

Palmar Arch Insufficiency as a Risk Factor for Radial Artery Occlusion After Transradial Catheterization...

Coronary Artery Disease

Transradial access (TRA) is commonly used in different medical fields due to the superficial position of the radial artery and related advantages. Despite its popularity, the incidence and importance of related complications, in particular, radial artery occlusion (RAO) remains unclear. Further, the only known independent predictors of the radial artery occlusion are the periprocedural anticoagulation as well as the catheter size. The effect of a variable arterial anatomy has so far not been evaluated. In this context, most institutions prefer to evaluate the collateral circulation of the hand, i.e., the arterial palmar arch and forearm circulation before TRA. The most commonly employed tests are the modified Allen test (MAT) or the combination of pulse oximetry and plethysmography according to Barbeau. In addition, there are more precise, but still semi-quantitative non-invasive methods for palmar arterial collateral function testing. Despite the wealth of these variably accurate and practical tests, invasive and direct hemodynamic measurement of the arterial forearm circulation and its components is lacking. Thus, the human physiologic circulatory reference at this site has been unknown so far. Further, the need of pre-procedural testing itself can be questioned in light of the reported, widely varying prevalence of RAO (1-38%) or critical ischemia (0-0.09%) after TRA. The present study investigated in a first step the invasively obtained, pressure-derived hemodynamic function, i.e., the physiology of the human arterial palmar arch and forearm collateral circulation and in a second step the clinical consequences of the variable palmar arterial anatomy.

Investigation of Myocardial Protection Level With Specific Cardioplegia Methods in Cardiac Surgery...

Bypass ComplicationCardioplegia Solution Adverse Reaction4 more

Investigating the myocardial effects of cold blood cardioplegia and del nido cardioplegia solution, which are routinely used in clinical practice, will contribute to the studies in the literature on the safety and efficacy of these two methods. For this purpose, patients with coronary artery disease that going to be Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) surgery will be classified within the scope of the SYNTAX score, the level of exposure to cardioplegia change in proportion to their score will be examined. Also, left ventricular muscle mass will be calculated in patients who will undergo Aortic Valve replacement (AVR) due to Aortic Stenosis, and myocardial protection level proportional to muscle mass will be examined, and cardioplegia efficiency will be compared.

Influence of Lipid Lowering on Impaired Coronary Flow

Coronary Artery Disease

This study assess in patients with stable chest pain and coronary artery disease (CAD) determined by coronary CTA whether cholesterol lowering with regression of coronary adverse plaque characteristics is associated with recovery of impaired flow

Patient Centered Machine Learning Model for Bleeding and Ischemic Risk

Coronary Artery DiseasePercutaneous Coronary Intervention

Dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) is indicated in all patients undergoing coronary stent implantation to prevent ischemic recurrencies despite an increased risk of bleeding. Accordingly, clinical practice guidelines advocate tailoring DAPT duration according to the patient's individual ischemic and bleeding risk profile. Data from 11 clinical trials involving patients who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) with an everolimus-eluting stent will be pooled and analyzed to develop a machine learning-based algorithm to predict the probability of an ischemic or bleeding event up to 1 year. These predictive risk models aim to support clinical decision-making on DAPT management after PCI.

Association Between Some Polymorphisms in Apelin/ Apelin Receptor Genes and Coronary Artery Disease...

Coronary Artery DiseaseHypertension

The apelin-APJ signaling pathway has emerged as an important novel mediator of cardiovascular control and blood pressure homeostasis. Genetic variation in apelin and its receptors likely contributes to essential hypertension, in addition to a range of traditional risk factors. Thus, a study will be conducted on Syrian patients with hypertension and coronary artery disease to investigate some of the single polymorphisms in the apelin gene and its receptor that may be responsible for the development of these diseases, and to link the levels of this peptide and its receptor in the blood with these polymorphisms and the percentage of these diseases (as shown by many Modern Global Reference Studies).

Personalized Antiplatelet Therapy in CAD Patients

Coronary Artery Disease

This study is a prospective, no-randomized, single-center study performed on 15000 consecutive coronary artery patients from Dec. 2016 to Oct. 2021. All these patients were detected CYP2C19 genotype. The antiplatelet treatment was recorded according to the therapy actually adopted by the patients.

Application of a New X-ray Protective Device in Coronary Interventional Therapy

Coronary Heart Disease

This is a multi-center, prospective and controlled clinical trial which will enroll 200 coronary arteriography or percutaneous coronary intervention with 2-4 interventional cardiologist. The interventional cardiologist performed 100 interventional procedures using either a new protective device (NPD) or a traditional lead clothing (TLC). The cumulative dose outside the NPD or TLC and the first operator at each height (110cm, 90cm, 50cm, 10cm) was measured. The main indicators of the study are the average X-ray shielding efficiency of the NPD and the TLC at four different heights. The investigators will record all operation information in this study.
