Impact of a POPOP on Preoperative Health, Eligibility, and Clinical & Patient-Reported Outcomes...
OsteoarthritisKnee4 moreIn this pilot study, we will test the hypothesis that a POPOP for currently ineligible UAMS orthopedic surgery patients wanting hip or knee replacement improves markers of preoperative health, ability to reach a BMI threshold <40 kg/m2 required for surgical eligibility, and postoperative outcomes versus SOC.

Optimal Anesthetic for Corticosteroid Injections for Knee Osteoarthritis
Knee OsteoarthritisTo evaluate pain relief from corticosteroid injection with and without anesthetic as well as with variable volume of anesthetic. Pain relief will be measured using the VAS pain score at the time of the injection as well as several time points following the injection to capture pain relief longevity. The investigators intend to evaluate how well the patients tolerate corticosteroid mixtures without anesthetic as well as with different volumes of anesthetic. Primary measure will be the time from procedure when postoperative status is considered success (as measured by global perceived improvement score).

Effects of Motor Imagery on Trapeziometacarpal Osteoarthritis in Women During the Postoperative...
Osteoarthritis ThumbImmobilizationThe aim of this study is to verify whether after trapeziometacarpal osteoarthrosis surgery and during the period of immobilization immediately after it, applying motor imagery, improvements are achieved on pain, strength, edema and / or inflammation, function and the joint range, accelerating the recovery process.

Effect Of The Use Of Navigation In The Alignment Obtained When Performing A Total Knee Arthroplasty...
OsteoarthritisKnee2 moreNAOBE is a randomized, open and prospective clinical trial that evaluates the accuracy to achieve an adequate mechanical axis of the lower extremity in obese patients after total knee replacement.

Physica System Total Knee Replacement Registry Study
OsteoarthritisKnee5 moreThe primary objective of this study is to obtain long-term implant survivorship (out to 10 years) and to assess clinical, patient-reported outcome measures, and radiographic data for the commercially available Physica system. For ancillary arm, from baseline to 5-year follow-up.

Trapeziectomy vs. Trapeziometacarpal Limited Excision for Thumb Base Osteoarthritis
Thumb OsteoarthritisA randomized comparison between trapeziectomy and trapeziometacarpal limited excision for thumb base osteoarthritis in 90 patients.

A Study on the Effect of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) on Osteoarthritis in the Thumb Base
Thumb OsteoarthritisRandomized comparison between Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and placebo (Saline) for thumb base.osteoarthritis.

Dual Mobility Total Joint Prosthesis (Touch) for Thumb Carpometacarpal Joint Osteoarthritis
RhizarthrosisThe dual mobility concept currently represents the newest generation of thumb carpometacarpal prostheses. The aim of this study was to evaluate the outcomes of TOUCH® prosthesis. From September 2019 to December 2023,a minimum of 100 prosthesis shall be implanted in patients suffering from symptomatic stage III osteoarthritis. All included patients will follow a systematic follow-up regimen (4, 8, 16 weeks, 6, and 12 months as well as 24 months postoperatively). Radiographics, ROM, VAS, DASH and Pinch grip are measured. Aim of the study is to compare clinical outcome of dual mobility prosthesis with common results of CMC I Prosthesis in literature.

Bilateral Knee Osteoarthritis: Intra-articular Injection of Filtered Autologous Adipose Tissue Versus...
Bilateral Knee OsteoarthritisAutologous Adipose TissueThe purpose of the study is to assess the radiological and clinical outcomes comparing two different treatments (Filtered Autologous Adipose Tissue versus Placebo) in patients affecting bilateral knee osteoarthritis. After be randomized, every patient will be treated in both legs, one leg with Adipose Tissue and the other one with Placebo.

External Focus of Attention Posttraumatic Osteoarthritis
Anterior Cruciate Ligament InjuriesAnterior Cruciate Ligament Rupture2 moreKnee injuries, especially those to the ACL, are common among physically active people. These injuries are frequently treated with surgical reconstruction (ACL reconstruction; ACLR). While ACLR restores stability it does not protect against future injury, long-term pain, disability, and arthritis associated with these injuries. Our study is going to examine new ways to provide feedback about the way people move to determine if these are better at modifying movement patterns that are known risk factors of posttraumatic osteoarthritis development than current standard treatments. If you participate, you will be asked to undergo a movement analysis in a research laboratory while you perform tasks such as walking and hopping. After this initial assessment, you will be randomly allocated to one of 2 treatment groups. Each treatment group will perform 4 weeks (3x/week) of exercises to change the way people walk. Participants will then report for follow-up movement analysis testing 1- and 4-weeks after completing the intervention.
