Juvenile Idiopathic ArthritisThe aim of our study is to compare the immune function of patient treated with DMARD (methotrexate), or tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-alpha inhibitor (adalimumab) to healthy children. The study consists of three parts. In each part physical examination and routine laboratory tests are done. At the first examination flow cytometry analysis is performed, after that the participants are immunized with influenza (3Fluart) vaccine. At part two and three further flow cytometry is carried out and seroconversion is measured.

The investigators will use one marker or a score with biological and clinical data to discriminate arthritis of infectious and inflammatory etiology.

Determine the kinetics of T- and B-cell immune reconstitution after a combination of timed plasmapheresis, high dose cyclophosphamide and total lymphoid irradiation, and posttransplant immunosuppression with cyclosporine in these patients. III. Determine whether this treatment regimen beneficially influences the clinical course of these patients.
Turkish Reliability and Validity of FOPQC-SF
FearPain1 moreThe aim of this study is to question the Turkish validity and reliability of the "The Fear of Pain Questionnaire for Children Short Form (FOPQC-SF)" scale. Children/adolescents between the ages of 7-18 and diagnosed with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis followed by the Pediatric Rheumatology Clinic will be included in the study. The sample size of this study was determined as at least 50. To assess the validity of the FOPQC-SF scale, participants will be administered the Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory (PedsQL) 3.0 Arthritis Module, the Childhood Health Assessment Questionnaire (CHAQ), and the Juvenile Arthritis Disease Activity Score.

Adult Onset Still DiseaseAdult Onset Still Disease (AOSD) is an acquired inflammatory disease of unknown etiology, presenting with non specific symptoms. Its diagnosis rely on sets of criteria, i.e. Fautrel Criteria and Yamaguchi Criteria. However, differential diagnosis might appear during follow-up of patients. The aim of this study is to assess diagnostic performance of Fautral and Yamaguchi Criteria after 18 months of follow-up, and to describe differential diagnosis appearing during follow-up.
Psychosocial Outcomes and Transition Readiness in JIA
Juvenile Idiopathic ArthritisIt is widely acknowledged that the transition from paediatric to adult health services should be a multidimensional and multidisciplinary process that addresses the medical, psychosocial, and educational needs of adolescents and young adults (AYA). Despite this, there is currently a scarcity of research examining the relationships between psychosocial factors (e.g., anxiety, social support) and transition readiness in AYA with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). This study therefore aimed to examine the relationships between psychosocial factors and transition readiness in pre-transfer adolescents and post-transfer young adults aged 10-25 years diagnosed with JIA at a single centre. In total, 40 adolescents aged 10-16 years together with a parent/guardian, will take part at Sheffield Children's Hospital and 40 young adults aged 16-25 years will take part at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. Participants will be asked to complete a battery of self-report questionnaire measuring psychosocial factors (anxiety/depression, social support, family functioning, health-related quality of life) and transition readiness (transition knowledge and skills, self-efficacy). JIA disease severity was also measured during clinic appointments. This study has received full ethical approval, and all participants will give their written informed assent or consent before taking part. The results from this research will be important in better understanding which psychosocial factors affect how ready young people with JIA feel to move from paediatric to adult rheumatology services. We hope this research will inform further work to help target psychological interventions in this group of patients.

Polyarticular Juvenile Rheumatoid ArthritisArthritis1 moreSTOP-JIA is a PCORI funded prospective observational study which compared the clinical effectiveness and impact on patient reported outcomes of 3 Childhood Arthritis & Rheumatology Research Alliance (CARRA) consensus derived treatment strategies (CTPs) in new-onset polyarticular JIA (pJIA) patients to answer the critical question of when is the best time to begin biologic medications to achieve the optimal clinical and patient reported outcomes. Because the CARRA Registry will be used for data collection, all patients will be enrolled in the CARRA Registry. The standard of care treatments are chosen by the treating physician and patient/caregiver and are not randomized.
