Safety and Retention Rate of the JAK and TNF Inhibitors in Rheumatoid Arthritis: a Real-life Experience...

Rheumatoid ArthritisDrug Use

This study aims to extract data from the Hong Kong Biologics Registry for retention rate of the JAK inhibitors in rheumatoid arthritis and review other adverse events by looking at the medical record retrospectively. These real life data are important as they cannot be provided by randomized controlled trials which are limited by the duration of observation and fixed protocols in research settings. Moreover, data will represent our local experience of the JAK inhibitors in Chinese patients with RA. The retention rate and adverse effects of the JAK inhibitors are compared with conventional TNF inhibitors.

The Effects of Nutritional on Disease Activity and Functional Status in RA

Rheumatoid Arthritis

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic, autoimmune, systemic, inflammatory disease. RA is a chronic inflammatory disease in which many patients cannot achieve remission despite current pharmacological treatments. Chronic inflammation in RA causes an increase in metabolic index and nutritional requirements. In recent studies, it is mentioned that diet regimens and foods consumed in nutrition affect inflammation. The aim of this study is to evaluate the nutritional status and habits of patients with RA and to examine their effects on disease activity level, quality of life and functional status. A questionnaire form will be applied to collect data on demographic information, disease activity, nutritional status and habits, physical activity status and physical functional status of the patients included in the study.

RheumatoId Arthritis

Patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) with positive antibodies against carbamylated proteins (anti-CarP) have a more severe clinical course. The primary objective of this study in adult subject with RA is as follows: To explore the clinical differences in activity indexes (Disease Activity Score of 28 joints with Erythro Sedimentaion Rate (DAS28-ESR)) at 6, 12 and 18 months of follow up according the anti-CarP antibodies status.
