Observational Study in Patients With Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease
Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease (ADPKD)To collect characteristics of patients with ADPKD across a broad population, over time to better understand disease progression (signs, symptoms and outcomes). Association with total kidney volume changes and other measures of disease progression will be determined in order to identify a population at increased risk for disease progression. The economic and quality life impact of ADPKD will be assessed. Subjects who terminated participation early from clinical trials with tolvaptan may also be followed.

ArthrogryposisCraniofacial AbnormalitiesThe hypotheses of the present study of Freeman-Sheldon syndrome (FSS) and related conditions are: (1) that exercise capacity is lower in FSS patients versus normal controls, and the lower exercise capacity is due to changes in the muscles' normal structure and an inability of sufficient quantity of the energy molecule to bind to muscle; (2) this muscle problem reduces amount of air that can get in the lung and amount of oxygen carried in the blood, which then has the effect of increasing heart and respiration rates, blood pressure, and deep body temperature, and produces muscle rigidity; (3) the events noted above, when they occur during cardiac stress testing, are related to a problem similar to malignant hyperthermia (MH) reported in some muscle disorders without use of drugs known to cause MH. MH (a life-threatening metabolic reaction that classically is triggered when susceptible persons receive certain drugs used in anaesthesia.

Characterization of Patients With Non-surgical Hypoparathyroidism and Pseudohypoparathyroidism
Idiopathic HypoparathyroidismAutosomal Dominant Hypocalcaemia1 moreHypoparathyroidism (hypoPT) and pseudohypoparathyroidism (Ps-hypoPT) are rare diseases, characterized by low levels of parathyroid hormone [PTH] and plasma calcium or high plasma PTH and low plasma calcium, respectively. A recently study by the investigators' group, identified 123 living persons with idiopathic hypoPT and 62 living persons with Ps-hypoPT, only few of these have been genetic tested. The aim of the study is to perform a detailed clinical and genetic characterization of Danish patients with idiopathic hypoPT and Ps-hypoPT. Patients will be examined by questionnaires, biochemistry, scans, bone biopsies and genetic tests. Furthermore the investigators aim to perform family tracing for the hereditary forms. The prevalence of magnesium depletion will be assessed as well. In addition to providing new information on symptoms, co-morbidity, and prognosis for this group of patients, the investigators presume that the study may improve their understanding on calcium homeostasis and bone metabolism in general.

However, the PKD Repository has been designed to include demographic, clinical, biochemical, and genetic data that will further explore the natural history of the disorder and assess the factors that are likely to be associated with the progression of disease and the incidence of complications including renal failure, cardiovascular disease, and stroke.
Advanced Characterization of Autosomal Dominant Optic Atrophy
Optic AtrophyAutosomal DominantThe purpose of this study is to determine the anatomy of the retina and the optic nerve in patients with autosomal dominant optic atrophy (ADOA). Based on these findings the aim of the study is to determine why patients with the same type of genetic material, i.e. the same mutation, have such large variations of symptoms, spanning from unaffected subjects to blindness. The project requires examination of both healthy and affected family members.
