Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia SyndromePostural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) is a chronic, multifactorial syndrome with complex symptoms of orthostatic intolerance. Of the major complaints are breathlessness and exercise intolerance. The aim is to explore the potential impact of a physiotherapy intervention involving education and breathing control on dysfunctional breathing and improving exercise intolerance in POTS. The study would be a randomised controlled trial. Duration would be 4 week. Patients will be randomly divided into two groups by lottery method. Data will be collected through questionnaire from enrolled subjects in physical therapy department of Liaqat Hospital, Lahore. Experimental group will be treated by Progressive Breathing Retraining Exercise Program-2 times a day for 15 minutes, initially Controlled Nasal Breathing with progressively increasing the Controlled Pause, 4 times a day for 15 minutes, then both techniques will be performed together. In addition to this Aerobic training will be assigned to both the groups. Aerobic training will include cycling and treadmill- for 30 minutes\day for 5 days\week for 1 month. Total 20 sessions. While the controlled group will receive only aerobic training which will include cycling and treadmill for 30 minutes\day for 5 days\week for 1 month. Total 20 sessions. The dysfunctional breathing and exercise intolerance will be assessed through Nijmegen Questionnaire and Veterans Questionnaire respectively at 0 week, after 2 week and after 4 week. The data will be analyzed by spss version 25.

Intermittent HypoxiaRehabilitation approaches introduce a stimulus to a motor system, with the goal to enhance motor function to patients. For example, exposure to brief and intermittent episodes of mild hypoxia has shown to strengthen synaptic pathways to respiratory and skeletal muscle motor neurons. In humans with spinal cord injury, exposure to intermittent hypoxia (IH) alone or in combination with rehabilitative strategies has shown enhanced motor function. Another strategy known as inspiratory threshold loading, which involves breathing against pressure threshold loads, results in improved inspiratory muscle strength. Although there is evidence supporting the use of IH alone or in combination with other rehabilitative strategies in improving motor function in humans, the impact of exposure to IH or IH with inspiratory threshold loading on inspiratory muscle function and ventilation in humans is unknown.

Blood Oxygenation and Exercises in Pregnant Women
Aerobic and Breathing Exercises in Pregnant WomenTo investigate the blood oxygenation response to aerobic and breathing exercises in pregnant women. Participants and methods: A total of forty pregnant women participated in the study who were at the beginning of 3rd trimester. Their ages ranged from 25 to 30 years and their body mass index (BMI) was less than 30 kg/m2. They were assigned into two groups (A) performed aerobic exercises in a form of walking for 20-30 min. on treadmill at 60-75% of the target heart rate (THR) of each women, 3 times per week in addition to deep breathing exercises in form of diaphragmatic and lateral costal breathing, group (B) who performed deep breathing exercises only in form of diaphragmatic and lateral costal breathing. The program continued for 3 months, 3 times per week. The oxygen saturation (SaO2) was measured twice time firstly, at the beginning of 3rd trimester of pregnancy then after 3 months that at 24, 36 gestation weeks.
