Persistence of Airway Inflammation and Remodeling in Subjects With Symptomatic or Complete Asthma...
AsthmaThis study aims at determining the patterns of asthma remission, the prevalence of these different patterns, the various factors associated with such remissions and possible recurrences of asthma, in order to determine the mechanisms involved in these processes. The investigators therefore want to document these specificities in subjects in complete remission of their asthma, and those in only symptomatic remission of their asthma, in comparison with mildly symptomatic asthmatic subjects and healthy controls.
A Follow-up Programme for Patients Using Symbicort SMART in Normal Clinical Practice
Bronchial AsthmaThis patient follow-up programme was designed to describe the extent of Symbicort use in patients prescribed Symbicort as maintenance and reliever therapy in routine clinical practice in comparison with the already documented use of Symbicort as maintenance and reliever therapy in clinical therapies
Body Plethysmograph Measurements Before and After Methacholine Challenge in Early Childhood
AsthmaIn our previous study of Methacholine Challenge Tests (MCT) in preschool children, we found that wheeze detection was associated with significant reduction in flows and vital capacity values. We hypothesized that this finding is associated with trapped-air rather than the children's loss of cooperation/concentration. Objectives: To test this hypothesis by attempting plethysmography measurements during MCT.
Risk Factors For Asthma in Laboratory Animal Allergy
AsthmaLung DiseasesTo identify risk factors which predispose individuals to develop asthma and other manifestations of allergic disease on exposure to laboratory animals in the workplace.
Develop and Implement Asthma Controlling Strategies (1)
AsthmaLung DiseasesTo develop and implement asthma controlling strategies for inner city and high risk populations.
Develop and Implement Asthma Controlling Strategies (2)
AsthmaLung DiseasesTo develop and implement asthma controlling strategies for inner city and high risk populations.
Isocyanate Antigens and T Cells That Cause Asthma
AsthmaLung DiseasesTo investigate whether isocyanate-induced asthma is dependent on isocyanate antigen-driven T-cell mediated, airway inflammation.
A Cross-sectional Study to Measure Cough in Severe Asthma
AsthmaCoughThis study aims to characterise cough in severe asthma through an observational cross-sectional analysis of patients stratified by inflammatory biomarker profile using a number of subjective and objective cough measurement tools.
Prevalence of Asthma and Allergies Among Children in UAE
AsthmaMulticenter, cross-sectional study to recruit a random sample of 6000 children via school class registers: 3000 children aged 13-14 years and 3000 children aged 6-7 years.
Characteristics of Pts Initiating Spiriva Respimat in Asthma
AsthmaThis study is a cross-sectional, non-interventional study based on existing data (NISed).
