Comparing Test Lens for Astigmatism Soft Contact Lens (Test) to 1-Day Control for Astigmatism contact lenses (Control).

The aim of this prospective study is to evaluate the clinical performance of filcon IV1 toric and ocufilcon D toric contact lenses after 1 week of wear in each pair.

The primary purpose of this study is to demonstrate noninferiority in the visual acuity at distance when wearing PRECISION1™ for Astigmatism (P1fA) soft contact lenses compared to another commercially available, soft toric contact lens, MyDay® toric (MDT).

Approximately 30 soft toric contact lens adapted subjects will be enrolled in this feasibility, bilateral, randomized, double-masked (subject and investigator), repeated measures insertion study. All subjects will be seen for a Screening/Dispensing Visit at which informed consent will be obtained and eligibility will be assessed. If subjects satisfy all eligibility criteria, subjects will be dispensed study lenses according to unique randomization tables that will be provided to each Investigator. If study eligibility is met, subjects will have lenses inserted in random, successive order. Subjects will be receiving each of the study lens types once, in a randomized order. The subject will wear each of the study contact lenses for approximately 10 minutes.

Nowadays cataract patient's expectations are closer to those of refractive surgery patients. Patients want to be spectacle independent. However, fifteen to twenty percent of cataract surgery patients have from 1.00 to 3.00 diopters (D) of corneal astigmatism which makes achieving spectacle independence unlikely in this patients unless the astigmatism is treated at the time of cataract surgery. Option to treat this astigmatism include corneal or limbal incisions (LRIs), the use of toric intraocular lenses (IOLs) or LASIK. Regardless of the treatment of choice to correct the astigmatism at time of cataract extraction, a treatment plan has to be calculated preoperatively. This planning include: keratometry measurements and the use of a calculator to estimate the treatment and orientation of IOL and/or placement of the LRIs. New technology has been developed and is widely used. Among this technology, we have the VERION Image Guided System. This system encompasses a reference unit that takes a picture of the eye with the patient in the sitting position creating image of the patient's eye, capturing scleral vessels, limbus and iris features. It measures keratometry as well as the corneal diameter (limbus) and pupil size. The information captured is transferred automatically to its planner where IOL power calculation and astigmatism correction calculation are completed. Additionally, intraoperative wavefront aberrometry has been used in the last couple of years with increase success.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the clinical performance of stenfilcon A toric lenses compared with etafilcon A toric lenses for astigmatism. If it is valuable, the clinical performance of stenfilcon A toric lens is also evaluated compared with habitual lenses.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate lens centration and subjective impressions of DAILIES® AquaComfort Plus® (DACP) lenses compared to 1-DAY ACUVUE® MOIST® (1DAM) lenses in ball sports players.

The study hypothesis is that the Biofinity Toric XR lenses will perform as well as or better than the participants' habitual contact lenses.
