Pulmonary Vein Isolation Outcomes With Fish Oils

Atrial Fibrillation

Fish oil therapy may decrease the incidence of cardiac arrhythmias. This study will test whether pre-treatment with fish oils before catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation decreases the early post operative occurrence of atrial fibrillation.

Analysis of the Role of T-cell Response in Patients With Atrial Fibrillation for Clinical Application...

Atrial Fibrillation

The purpose of this study is 1) to characterize T-cell response in patients with atrial fibrillation, and 2) to analyze the changes of T-cell response after radio-frequency catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation. First, immune-phenotyping and cytokine profiling of T cells from patients with atrial fibrillation will performed. Next the difference of T-cell immunity among various type of atrial fibrillation patients will be analyzed. Finally the changes of T-cell response and cytokines after radio-frequency catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation will be assessed.

Benefit/Risk in Real Life of New Oral Anticoagulants and Vitamin K Antagonists in Patients Aged...

Non Valvular Atrial Fibrillation (nv AF)

"The aim of the study is to compare, in real life, the risk benefit (including both major bleeding and thrombotic events (TE) and death from any cause) associated with direct oral anticoagulants (DOAC) and with anti vitamin K (VKA) in older adults (≥ 75 years) suffering from nvAF. The study will be conducted in the French Health insurance database (SNIIRAM). Data of octo+ patients newly treated with an oral anticoagulant (VKA or DOAC) for non valvular atrial fibrillation (nv AF) will be collected from the first exposure of the patient to the drug of interest during the inclusion period to the end of the follow-up period (at least one year of follow-up for each patient)."

Atrial Fibrillation Ablation Registry

Atrial Fibrillation (Paroxysmal)Atrial Fibrillation Recurrent1 more

This is a single centre prospective data registry. In this study atrial conduction characteristics of extended surface Electrocardiograms (esECG), biomarkers and genetic analysis will be performed before ablation, before discharge and 3 months after catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation (AF) and compared to routine clinical follow-up data. The objective of this registry is to establish a data registry of patients undergoing ablation of AF. Supplementary to the routine clinical diagnostic an esECG and an analysis of biomarkers will be performed and compared to clinical and outcome data.

Atrial Fibrillation Prediction Trial.

Atrial Fibrillation

Atrial Fibrillation (AF) is a common arrhythmia with a prevalence of 1.5-2%. This prevalence increases significantly after 80 years of age. After the appearance of first episode(s) some of the patients will present frequent arrhythmia recurrences moving from the paroxysmal status to the persistent and the permanent status of the continuous spectrum of the natural time course of AF. In contrast some other will not present further relapses. To study and predict the dynamic evolution of AF is clinically important, furthermore, the detection of different sub populations risk for AF relapses will determine and different therapeutic approaches.

Galectin-3 for Thromboembolic Formation in Patients With Atrial Fibrillation CHA₂DS₂-VASc Scoring...

Atrial FibrillationStroke

Atrial Fibrillation is considered as one of a common cardiac arrhythmia that presented with rapid and irregular rhythm and has an increased incidence. There are different types of atrial fibrillation one of these is paroxysmal atrial fibrillation that defined as lasts longer than 30 seconds and lasting less than 7 days, while atrial fibrillation lasting more than 7 days to less than one year or requiring pharmacological or electrical cardioversion is called persistent atrial fibrillation, referring to the American Heart Association 2006 guidelines.Patients with atrial fibrillation suffer from serious complications like stroke due to thromboembolism, heart failure and death. Risk of stroke is 5-folds in patients with atrial fibrillation in addition to presence or absence of another clinical risk factors.

Smart Watch iECG for the Detection of Cardiac Arrhythmias

ArrhythmiasCardiac1 more

This study aims to assess the feasibility and reliability of smart watch iECG provided by the Apple Watch/Apple iPhone for the detection of different cardiac arrhythmias. In this study, results from a 12-lead ECG will be set as the gold standard for the arrhythmia diagnosis, and results from the smart watch iECG (Apple watch/Apple iPhone application and Cardiologist's interpretations) as the index tests. The iECG tracings will be recorded simultaneously, starting and ending at the same time as the standard 12-lead ECG, using the built-in sensors of a smart watch (Apple Watch Series 4) with the ECG application.

Indonesian Registry on Atrial Fibrillation

Atrial Fibrillation

Our rationale of creation of this registry stems from the fact that the use of VKA in patients with AF is a double-edged sword, physicians face tremendous burden in assigning patients with VKA, due to risk of Bleeding complications despite its potential benefit. We intend to seek a safe and beneficial range of INR on Indonesian patients.
