Effect of N-Acetylcysteine on Autologous Fat Graft Survival

Adipose Tissue AtrophyDeformity of Reconstructed Breast1 more

A single-centre triple-blind study looking at the addition of NAC to tumescent solution for liposuction and fat grafting in healthy patient volunteers already undergoing bilateral breast reduction. Three-dimensional reconstructions and volumetric analysis will be performed based on CT scans at 0, 1 and 3 months and then histological analysis will be performed after fat graft explantation at 3 months to determine fat graft vascularity and quality.

Alzheimer disease is hard, long and expensive to diagnose. In order to help the clinician, a new biomarker in Alzheimer disease seems to be very useful. The retina, as a window of the brain, could offer a new way to diagnose this common disease. Indeed, a retinal atrophy could especially appear in Alzheimer disease. Besides, many aspects about retinal alteration, visual function and their link with the disease deserve to be more explored. So as to fill these gaps, a new study about retinal specificity in Alzheimer disease appears to be relevant.

Linked Color Imaging to Differentiate H. Pylori Associated Gastritis and Gastric Atrophy

GastritisHelicobacter Pylori Associated Gastritis1 more

H. pylori infection plays a very important role in gastric carcinogenesis, progressing from chronic gastritis through atrophic gastritis, intestinal metaplasia, dysplasia and finally cancer. It is difficult to diagnose H. pylori related gastritis and gastric atrophy on the basis of endoscopic findings. Histology is currently considered to be the gold standard for detecting H. pylori infection. The reliability of detecting H. pylori infection histologically depends on the site, number, and size of gastric biopsy specimens. The blind biopsy sampling of normal appearing mucosa has the risk of missing pathology and sampling errors. Most studies conclude that as well as on expertise in staining and visualizing the bacteria. Considerable error also occurs in identifying gastric atrophy using blind biopsy sampling, and neither the original nor the revised version of the Sydney system reliably identifies more than half the cases in patients with confirmed gastric atrophy.

Immediate Implant Placement in the Esthetic Zone

Unspecified Atrophy of Edentulous Alveolar Ridge

This study aims to examine dimensional alveolar ridge alterations and prevent buccal plate resorption and soft tissue recession following immediate implant placement in extraction sockets in the maxillary esthetic zone using different socket morphology-guided treatment modalities. Expected results of the study are: To have found the optimal materials and GBR procedures modalities for buccal plate resorption degree reduction; Soft tissue recession and best esthetic result achievement. There will be possibilities to study socket morphology influence on final esthetic result achievement.
