Troglitazone in Treating Patients With Liposarcoma
SarcomaTroglitazone may help liposarcoma cells develop into normal cells. This was a single arm, open-label study with a two-stage design to evaluate troglitazone in patients with liposarcoma stratified by histologic subtype.
Alisertib in Treating Patients With Advanced or Metastatic Sarcoma
MyxofibrosarcomaRecurrent Adult Soft Tissue Sarcoma6 moreThis phase II trial studies how well alisertib works in treating patients with sarcoma that has spread to other places in the body and usually cannot be cured or controlled with treatment (advanced) or has spread to other places in the body (metastatic). Alisertib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.
Vismodegib and Gamma-Secretase/Notch Signalling Pathway Inhibitor RO4929097 in Treating Patients...
Adult Alveolar Soft Part SarcomaAdult Angiosarcoma33 moreThis randomized phase I/II clinical trial is studying the side effects and best dose of gamma-secretase/notch signalling pathway inhibitor RO4929097 when given together with vismodegib and to see how well they work in treating patients with advanced or metastatic sarcoma. Vismodegib may slow the growth of tumor cells. Gamma-secretase/notch signalling pathway inhibitor RO4929097 may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Giving vismodegib together with gamma-secretase/notch signalling pathway inhibitor RO4929097 may be an effective treatment for sarcoma.
Rosiglitazone in Treating Patients With Liposarcoma
SarcomaRATIONALE: Rosiglitazone may help liposarcoma cells develop into normal fat cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of rosiglitazone in treating patients who have liposarcoma.
Testing the Combination of Two Experimental Drugs MK-3475 (Pembrolizumab) and Interferon-gamma for...
Metastatic Myxoid LiposarcomaMetastatic Round Cell Liposarcoma14 moreThis phase II trial studies how well pembrolizumab and interferon gamma-1b work in treating patients with stage IB-IVB mycosis fungoides and Sezary syndrome that has come back (relapsed) or has not responded to previous treatment (refractory). Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as pembrolizumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Interferon gamma-1b may boost the immune system activity. Giving pembrolizumab and interferon gamma-1b together may work better in treating patients with stage IB-IVB mycosis fungoides and Sezary syndrome.
Letetresgene Autoleucel Engineered T Cells in NY-ESO-1 Positive Participants With Advanced Myxoid/...
NeoplasmsThis trial will evaluate safety and efficacy of Letetresgene autoleucel (GSK3377794) in participants with advanced myxoid/round cell liposarcoma or high-grade myxoid liposarcoma.
A Study of Trabectedin or Dacarbazine for the Treatment of Patients With Advanced Liposarcoma or...
Advanced Liposarcoma or LeiomyosarcomaThe purpose of this study is to evaluate whether overall survival for the trabectedin group is superior to the dacarbazine group for patients with advanced L-sarcoma (liposarcoma or leiomyosarcoma).
Cixutumumab and Doxorubicin Hydrochloride in Treating Patients With Unresectable, Locally Advanced,...
Adult AngiosarcomaAdult Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumor33 moreThis phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of cixutumumab given together with doxorubicin hydrochloride and to see how well they work in treating patients with unresectable, locally advanced, or metastatic soft tissue sarcoma. Monoclonal antibodies, such as cixutumumab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as doxorubicin hydrochloride, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving monoclonal antibody cixutumumab together with doxorubicin hydrochloride may kill more tumor cells.
Sirolimus and Cyclophosphamide in Metastatic or Unresectable Myxoid Liposarcoma and Chondrosarcoma...
Conventional ChondrosarcomaMyxoid Liposarcoma2 moreChondrosarcoma and liposarcoma consists of different subtypes with a wide range of patient survival. Current treatment options consist of wide surgical resection, however for patients with a local recurrence or metastatic disease the outcome is poor. New treatment options being evaluated and mouse models show in vivo that mammilian target of rapamycin (mTOR) inhibition can prevent tumour growth. mTOR is an kinase that is present in two complexes and thereby activates multiple pathways. Aberrant mTOR signalling is known to be involved in cancer cell survival. Several clinical studies for patients with bone or soft tissue sarcoma treated with mTOR inhibitors have been conducted and they show promising results. From these studies the investigators can conclude that the combination of an mTOR inhibitor with cyclophosphamide shows promising results in chondrosarcoma. With the lack of other treatment options for unresectable and metastatic chondrosarcoma or myxoid liposarcoma the Eurosarc consortium (www.eurosarc.eu) decided to treat these patients in a standardised way according to a common protocol with the combination of sirolimus and cyclophosphamide using the growth modulation index for evaluation in the current clinical study protocol.
A Study of Trabectedin (YONDELIS) in Patients With Locally Advanced or Metastatic Liposarcoma or...
Advanced or Metastatic Liposarcoma or LeiomyosarcomaThe purpose of this study is to find the optimal dose of trabectedin for Chinese patients with locally advanced or metastatic L-sarcoma (liposarcoma or leiomyosarcoma) who were previously treated (in any order) with at least an anthracycline and ifosfamide containing regimen, or an anthracycline containing regimen and 1 additional cytotoxic chemotherapy regimen (Part 1) and to evaluate whether the overall survival (OS) of the trabectedin group is superior to dacarbazine group (Part 2).
