Efficacy of Motor Control and Diathermy Treatment in Acute Low Back Pain
Low Back PainLumbar pain is considered one of the most frequent health problems faced by human populations on a global scale. This study will be carried out to evaluate the efficiency of motor control treatments combined with diathermy in patients diagnosed with acute lower back pain, focusing upon the potential for accelerated patient recuperation if both treatments are applied simultaneously and jointly.
Hip-spine Intervention for Older Adults With Chronic Low Back Pain
Low Back PainLow back pain (LBP) is extremely common in older adults and is associated with a host of negative consequences, including decreased physical function and increased healthcare utilization. Among older adults with LBP, hip impairments indicative of hip joint disease are more prevalent and associated with greater disability than among older adults without LBP. This study will investigate a novel intervention designed to improve LBP-related disability by combining a typical spine-focused exercise program with a hip-focused intervention.
Variable Approaches of Intradiscal O3-O2 Injection
Low Back PainCost Intradiscal injection of ozone-oxygen mixture (O3-O2) which offers a rapid onset amelioration of symptoms, with a sustained duration pain relief in low back pain. Does change of injection approach make a difference?
A Comparison of Ultrasound Versus Fluoroscopic Guidance for Sacral Lateral Branch Blocks
Back PainSacral lateral branch blocks are used for the diagnosis and treatment of sacroiliac joint pain. This study will compare ultrasound and fluoroscopy guidance for sacral lateral branch blocks. Outcomes examined will include performance times and success rates.
Kettlebell Swings & Low Back Pressure Pain Threshold
Low Back PainThe purpose of this study is to determine whether a high intensity kettlebell workout, utilizing a Tabata protocol format, can decrease objective measures of pain pressure threshold in subjects without low back pain. The results of the study could have implications for the use of high intensity kettlebell workouts in the rehabilitation of patients with low back pain.
Feasibility and Efficacy of Remotely Monitored Home-based Listening to Preferred Music for Pain...
Lower Back PainThe purpose of this study is to examine the feasibility and acceptability of listening to 20 minutes of preferred style of music twice-daily for 4 consecutive days on pain among 20 community-dwelling older adults with lower back pain (LBP)
Position-Induced Opening of the Intervertebral Foramen is Efficient to Treat an Acute Lumbosacral...
Radiculopathy LumbarDisk Herniated Lumbar1 moreEfficiency of the conservative mechanical lumbosacral nerve root decompression, as an adjunct to pharmacological treatment, in the case of acute lumbosacral radiculopathy.
Effects of Magnetic Tape on Isometric Hip Strength in Patients With Low Back Pain. RCT
Low Back PainThe tape will be applied on the lumbar area bilaterally to the spine without creating any tension. The possible variation in the isometric hip strength is measured with the mDurance®, surface electromyography and the Lafayette® dynamometer. A kinesiology tape was used as a placebo tape and the magnetic tape was used in a randomized experimental way.
Therapy of Pain Syndromes According to McGill's Method in Physiotherapy
Vertebrogenic Pain SyndromeThe goal of this study is to determine the applicability of McGill ́s method to patients with diagnoses, collectively referred to as Vertebrogenic Algic syndrome, by comparing the measured data of proband with different diagnosis locations Vertebrogenic Algic syndrome in the Czech Republic.
Chronic Low Back Pain and Neck Pain Prospective Study
Chronic Low Back PainChronic Neck PainThis prospective observation multifaceted study aims: To perform a large prospective study and identify multiple "omics" biomarkers in chronic low back pain To validate identified biomarkers for progression of acute to chronic low back pain To validate identified biomarkers and test their heritability/validity in additional cohorts To identify pathways and relevant individual variations for generation, propagation and subsidence of pain To identify new imaging biomarkers related to chronic low back pain To develop a registry of neck and low back pain subjects to help monitor the health-care management and utility to improve protocols and patient outcomes.
