Effect of Interferential l Therapy on Low Back Pain
Low Back PainBackground: Chronic non-specific low back pain is defined as unknown mechanical musculoskeletal pain lasting more than 3 months. Electrotherapy is a non-pharmacologic, non-invasive and simple method back pain treatment that is mainly applied using interferential (IF) therapy. The current study was designed to investigate the effect of IF on pain, range of motion, and quality of life in patients with chronic non-specific low back pain. Materials and methods: 61 patients suffered from chronic non-specific low back pain (CNLBP) were randomly assigned to IF group (n=30) and placebo IF (n=31). The entire patient received suggested exercise 3 times per week for 4 weeks. The outcome measures were visual analogue scale (VAS), lumbar range of motion (ROM) in terms of flexion& extension and the Short Form-36 (SF-36) health questionnaire to evaluate the quality of life (QOL).
Battlefield Acupuncture for Acute/Subacute Back Pain in the Emergency Department
Low Back PainMechanicalThe randomized controlled study aims was to investigate the pain control of Battle Field Acupuncture as Primary or Adjunctive Treatment in Back Pain (Acute Musculoskeletal pain) in the (acute pain setting) Emergency Department vs stand of care pain medications.
Investigation of the Effects of Two Different Treatment Programs on Chronic Low Back Pain
Chronic Low-back PainThis study was planned to examine the effects of two different treatment programs on pain intensity, back awareness, functional and psychosocial factors in patients with chronic low back pain.
Magnesium Oral Supplementation for Acute Non-specific Low Back Pain
Low Back PainAcute PainAcute non-specific low back pain (LBP) is one of the most common complaints at the emergency department. It is more prevalent in countries with high-income economies, where 60-80% of the population report back pain at some point in their life. Numerous medication options are available for acute LBP relief such as non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), myorelaxant drugs, opioids, and benzodiazepines. Magnesium is a physiological voltage-dependent blocker of N-methyl-D-aspartate NMDA)-coupled channels that can influence inflammatory pain and neuropathic pain through several different mechanisms. In this study the investigators aimed to investigate the effect of magnesium oral supplementation for acute low back pain.
The Effect of Deep Oscillation and Myofascial Relaxation With Chronic Nonspecific Low Back Pain...
Low Back PainIn our study, it was aimed to investigate the effects of deep oscillation and myofascial release on pain, functionality and quality of life in individuals with chronic nonspecific low back pain. 72 individuals who voluntarily agree to participate in the study will be included. Participants will be randomly divided into three groups, the deep oscillation group, myofascial release and the control group. Home exercises including stretching and strengthening for waist, back and abdominals will be given to all groups. However, in addition to the deep oscillation group, deep oscillation will be applied to the lumbar region and myofascial relaxation will be applied to the lumbar region for the myofascial group. Individuals will be asked to come to the center where the research will be conducted for a total of six sessions for two weeks, three times a week. Participants' pain will be evaluated with Visual Analog Scale, disability status with Oswestry Disability Index, sleep quality with Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, and quality of life with Short Form-36 before and after the first treatment in the first treatment. Statistical analysis to be used in our research will be done with the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences 20.0 package program.
Fascial-muscular Lengthening Therapy in the Patients With Chronic Low Back Pain.
Chronic Low Back PainThe purpose of this study is to assess and evaluate tight iliopsoas muscle in patients with chronic low back pain and to increase hip flexor flexibility in the patients with chronic low back pain by using the technique of manual fascial-muscular lengthening therapy .
Spinal Decompression Therapy in Radicular Chronic Low Back Pain
Radiculopathy LumbarThe study design was randomized control trial and sampling technique was lottery method. After inclusion and exclusion criteria, sample populations were divided into experimental (group A) and control group (group B). Spinal decompression therapy in combination with core stability exercises were given to experimental group as intervention while spinal decompression therapy given alone to the control group. Assessment was taken on after 1st session, 4th session and 8th session of physical therapy intervention. Data were entered and analyzed by SPSS version 21.
Comparison of the Effectiveness of Ultrasound-guided Versus Radioguided Medial Lumbar Bundle Branch...
Chronic Low-back PainLumbar Facet Joint SyndromeIn adults with chronic low back pain, the investigators will compare the effectiveness of the medial bundle branch block on three lumbar levels (L3-L4, L4-L5 and L5-S1) performed either by radiographic guidance or by ultrasound approach according to a transverse approach. The objective of this study will be to evaluate the benefit of these both procedures on pain, on the practice of daily activities and the incidence of adverse events in order to show whether the two modalities are equivalent.
Evaluation of Safety, Tolerability, and Efficacy of CordSTEM-DD in Patients With Chronic Low Back...
Chronic Low-back PainDisc DegenerationThe purpose of this clinical study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and efficacy of CordSTEM-DD, an allogeneic umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cell, as a cell-therapeutic drug in patients with chronic low back pain due to lumbar intervertebral disc degeneration.
Immediate Effect of Hamstring Stretching in Patients With Chronic Low Back Pain
Chronic Low-back PainThigh muscles flexibility deficits contribute to handicap in chronic low back pain patients. The study aims to evaluate the immediate effect of thigh muscles stretching in patients with chronic low back pain. The investigation team suppose that flexibility improvement could be detected by instrumented clinical measurements and such difference could be related to psycho-social factors evaluated by questionnaires.
