Low Back Pain Intensity and Core Muscle Strength After Different Delivery Modes
Low Back Pain and Core MuscleCesarean delivery (CD) may trigger an increase in low back pain (LBP) intensity and induce core muscle weakness. This study will assess the correlation between low back pain intensity and core muscle strength of transverse abdominis and Lumbar multifidus among women who underwent CD and compare it with those without previous pregnancy.
Surface Electromyography in Stratifying Chronic Low Back Pain.
Low Back PainSurface Electromyography can be utilised to detect normal muscle electrical activity during maximum forward flexion termed Flexion Relaxation Response (FRR)
Validation of the French Version of the Fremantle Back Awareness Questionnaire (FreBAQ) in Patients...
Low Back PainIn patients with chronic low back pain, the Fremantle Back Awareness Questionnaire (FreBAQ) measures the duration and intensity of pain and functional limitations. The FreBAQ is a simple tool created to assess disturbances in the body representation of the back, and the only one existing in chronic low back pain. It is a 9-item self-questionnaire in which each item is measured on a 5-point Likert scale ranging from "Never (score of 0)" to "Always (score of 4)". It assesses neglect, perceived body image of the back, accuracy in proprioceptive perception of back movements. The psychometric properties of the FreBAQ in English, Japanese, Dutch, Turkish and German are validated and acceptable; however, they have never been studied in French and no validated version of this questionnaire in French exists. The study investigators hypothesize that the French version of the FreBAQ has good psychometric qualities, allowing it to be used in the French chronic low back pain population.
A Comparıson of in People Wıth and Wıthout Non-Specıfıc Low Back Paın
Low Back PainNon-Specific Low Back Pain (NSLBP), which constitutes approximately 90-95% of low back pain, is low back pain that cannot be defined by specific pathologies such as infection, tumor, osteoporosis, fracture, radicular symptoms or inflammatory diseases. NSLBP creates many health problems due to uncertainties in both its diagnosis and treatment. Due to the health problems and decreased functional activities of the individual, it creates a socioeconomic burden on both the individual and the country. NSLBP ranks 6th in the distribution of the economic burden caused by diseases to developed and developing societies. It is difficult to calculate how much burden it puts on the country's economy both directly (health institutions) and indirectly (loss of working days). However, in 1996 in the United States (USA), the economic burden of NSLBP patients is estimated to be between 18.5 and 28.2 million.
Locomotion Strategies of Low Back Pain Patients
Chronic Low-back PainWalkingThe biomechanical parameters studied in non-specific chronic low back pain patients in a locomotion task have so far focused on straight line walking. Although locomotion is primarily an automated action composed of repetitive patterns allowing movement from one place to another, walkers must respond to the environmental demands. These modifications show a flexible and adaptive approach to the constraints of the environment. In this study, we are particularly interested in a task of passage through a horizontal opening, similar to a doorway, which is a standardized task that has shown its interest in the study of perceptual-motor co-ordinations. In particular, it allows to consider anthropometric and functional abilities of individuals, reflecting their action capacities.
Type 3 Predictive Observational Study for Sensory Profiles in Central Sensitization in Low Back...
Sensory ProfilesNociplastic Pain1 moreThis study conducts prognostic research to develop, validate, and evaluate the predictive role of sensory profiles in the development of sensory profiles over time. Therefore, a type 3 prognostic model research will be conducted in the low back pain population.
Biomechanics of Lumbar Region in Low Back Pain
Low Back PainThe purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between non-specific low back pain (NSLBP) and lumbar lordosis angle (LLA) and lumbar muscle thickness (LMT) by evaluating magnetic resonance images (MRI) in individuals with LBP.
Descriptive Analysis: STarT Back Screening Tool: Cross-sectional Survey & Chart Review
Back PainKeele STarT Back SCreening Tool (KSB) is a practical and validated bio-psychosocial questionnaire that stratifies lower back pain patients into 3 risk groups (low, medium, high), with suggested treatment guidelines for each grouping. The 9-question KSB has been used in chiropractic practice to help guide medical decision making, but its use in chiropractic teaching environments has been limited.
Electrical Impedance Myography of Neck and Low Back Pain
Low Back PainNeck PainThe purpose of this study is to assess neck and low back pain using Electrical Impedance Myography (EIM) in order to develop an algorithm to aid primary care providers (PCPs) in the diagnosis of neck/back pain. Secondary goals include the refinement of EIM technology and associated software of ease-of-use and interpretation by PCPs and staff.
Multiplanar Lumbopelvic Control in Patients With Low Back Pain
Low Back PainThe purpose of this study was to investigate whether combined assessment of lumbopelvic control during sagittal and frontal plane motion (using two common clinical observational assessments) discriminates between people with and without LBP than single plane assessment alone. It was hypothesized that the two tests used in combination (multiplanar) would perform better than each test used independently (single planar) in accurately discriminating patient cases from healthy controls.
